  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Anyone know the reason for lack of VIN's being generated on Failcat? System issue or Kia issue?
We have been tracking the issue on the thread below. Nothing we or the creator/maintainer of failcat can do so far.
I doubt we are going to see any updates until Kia fixes its service. Once the "Bad Request" error is resolved, failcat will start retrieving the new VINs again.

Finally, it's here (at dealer). Was visiting CO for Thanksgiving, so dropped by dealer for nice chat. Going next week to pick up Telluride, take the dogs, stay a week and a half, drive in the snow, and go home.

Congrats!! Sounds like a great plan.

First time posting here. Can someone tell me if what I'm experiencing is normal? I'm pretty upset at the lack of communication from my dealership, and considering some of the other timelines I've seen on here lately, I'm starting to get a little concerned. I ordered a Dark Moss EX AWD N/T/P Telluride from Gunther Kia in Fort Lauderdale, FL back on 5 SEP 2020. Lots of great communication beforehand, and then the minute I hand over my 10% down payment... crickets.

The only time they have ever reached out to me was about 5 weeks after that date...and it was a strange call. They claimed that the 'Dark Moss / Grey Int' color combination wasn't an option (which it clearly is), and immediately offered me a completely different EX on the lot that did not have almost any of the options I ordered. Once they sensed my frustration with the situation, all of a sudden the color combination magically became available.

Since then, I have to call them once a month to check in, or else I won't hear a thing. They sold me on a 12 week turnaround assurance, but being on this forum for a while, I knew that wasn't realistic. I was honestly targeting FEB2021, but now I'm not even sure that's on the table. I ask 'has my order been accepted by Kia and on what date' and I get the run around every time. They literally can't give me an answer, which is concerning.

I'll take any advice anyone has. I'm trying to be patient with this process, and I really wish I had the communication and service that others have had on here. But at this point, I don't even have any confidence that my order was even entered correctly.

That dealership has 161 vehicles according to Failcat.......I find it hard to believe that after 4 months your vehicle isn’t available

Yeah I've been watching them come in everyday and continue to be disappointed. With that kind of volume, they clearly understand the process. Can't figure out why I can't get better information out of them.

I’m assuming your 10% is non-refundable so you’re stuck at this point unfortunately.

You guessed it. That was pretty clear in the paperwork upfront. Although I haven't yet challenged it, which can't hurt to try I guess. Was just wondering if there were better questions I should be asking them first.

I would get with a sales manager in person; bring all your paperwork and make them look into where your vehicle is. Get there before they open and be the first one through the door.

Love the Gravity Gray, total just under 3 months from accepted order. Lots of folks on this forum waiting way longer. Good luck!

Your spec is pretty much exactly what we want to order: Gravity Grey / Dune, SX-P, Nightfall, Towing. We were just told 6-8 months to get it. Eek.

It’s well worth the wait
