Order to delivery time

I ordered an EX AWD on July 6th. My dealer doesn't do a great job of getting back with me and my original salesperson left. They did tell me it was accepted into KFOS at one point but then dropped and no ETA or anything at this point. I was quoted 3-6 months but it's frustrating because I have no way of knowing if they even submitted the order. Anybody in a similar situation?

Just heard from the dealer. ETA is now 3/19 which is upsetting because we really needed it by early March. So...over 8 months from order to delivery. Seems long.

I have a situation of a really long wait time. I had ordered my Kia Telluride 2021 from Hilltop Kia in California. This was back in march, I was quoted by the Dealer 6-8 months, which was ok . Some where in the middle they had to reorder everything to Telluride 2022, since the factory only made telluride 2022. We are in November and its the 8th month. I asked how many orders are ahead of mine and he said 129 .... based on failcat Hilltop Kia gets around 12-15 kias every month... so another 8 months. By that time Telluride 2023 will arrive. Anybody in similar situation. Any dealer who has a lead time of 2-4 months??? It seems nearly wait of 2 years for a Telluride is unacceptable even with all the chip shortage and everything.

I ordered mine October 19th and my dealer said it probably be March and I'm number 36 in line before Kia picks it up
 
So my dealer says there is no line and Kia just picks vehicles randomly from what dealer has ordered. Has anyone else been told this?
I placed an order almost 2 months ago and no update since. The salesman could not definitively give a delivery timeframe just said that they typically take 2-4 months. On the plus side it was at MSRP and no down payment.

I have decided to switch dealerships ... Is there any recommendations of dealerships with shorter wait times.. I knw I-25 is one.. Any other high volume dealer?

Ricart in Columbus doesn't place special orders, but they're pretty high volume and match incoming vehicles to people's wish lists. It'd be worth a call to see if they have anything coming in that would suit you and isn't already spoken for. I reached out to them last Monday and am picking mine up tomorrow. Ten days start to finish. MSRP + tax + $250 doc + $35 reg.

I called them , I live in California and they dont ship out of state. I need to be physically present there.

Hey there, I was just informed that my Kia was picked up in KFOS today over at Hilltop. I ordered 2/5/20 and got an ETA of 2/19/21 I have been waiting this whole time and never heard that you would lose your spot in line when the 22s came out, simply just converted the year to the 22 version. It sounds off based on the Information you have given and I would call and talk to the sales manager or Moe who has been a great help for me.

Try i25 in Colorado. A lot of forum members in California have purchased from them.

I picked up a Wolf Gray EX today from another dealership! It’s missing Tow package and had a higher markup, but I couldn’t give any business to the other dealership after their shenanigans. Honestly, I’m just thrilled I didn’t have to wait weeks/months for a replacement.

Ordered on 7/19 and delivery ETA is 11/29. We were originally told 60-90 days. I feel lucky that ours moved as fast as it did.
