How did you decide the long drive was worth it? Debating driving ours from Denver to Atlanta but doesn’t seem worth saving a grand.

If the difference in your case is $1000, it may not be worth it. For most people it's more like 3-10k difference (especially from the west coast). Others don't want to give money to dealers with mark-up at any cost.

Have you verified with the dealer if your order has been filled yet? Because with a March order date you should have taken delivery by Sept or a October unless they forgot to place your order.

Thanks for checking in. The post you replied to is from 2019. There is also no hard or fast rule on how long an order takes to get filled, it's based on dealer volume and backlog of orders.

Ha! June 8th. I had it in a more IT-familiar format but just updated to the more standard US format.

We ordered a Telluride SX Wolf Gray NE on 8/20/2021. We have not had any updates from our rep. We noticed a VIN posted on 12/23, that seems like our exact order (SX, Wolf Gray, Nightfall, and accessories). Bit concerned on the lack of communication as we were promised at least an ETA by 12 weeks and a wait period of 3 to 5 months. As many have said, the wait is started to kill us.

Out of curiosity, did you receive a VIN number at the same time as your ETA?

My dealer had an order ahead of me that the buyer opted out of so its mine now. All they have given me is an ETA so far (1/23) but they say there is no VIN Number yet.

No, no VIN at the moment. Interestingly, I was also offered an order ahead of mine back in August. I declined it but noticed the VIN show up on Failcat the next day, so I'm guessing mine will show up pretty soon.

The wait kills you at first, but by the time 6+months of waiting rolls around you just become numb.

I know many of us on the waiting list have extended delivery estimates. I'm guessing I will end up with a 2023. I was pre-warned that the build we ordered might come with accessories we didn't order. But, that trim level, color, and tow package will be the same. If they switch over to 2023, then, I will still get the Costco pricing (Kia of Muncie) but at the 2023 price.
