Order to delivery time

I ordered a Moss Green SX w/o prestige pkg and with Espresso seats on April 20, 2019. I was told it would be in before July 4th, then again after July 4th, then again before mid August the Sept 4th. I still do not have it. I imagine they make all one color at the same time and I just have to wait til that happens. I ordered in Falls Church, Va from Congressman(D) Don Beyer's Kia dealership there. Anyone know how that works and why it may be taking so long? The dealership had four on the lot BTW, tried to get me to take one w a Black interior. Also they are marking them up $5,000 each.

If that's what they are doing now, then once your Moss Is Boss is finally built, they will most likely mark that up as well. Then you would have wasted 1/2 year waiting. Some people got theirs much quicker, not sure how that happened.

Secondly, at the spray booth, they mix and match. So the current one a Moss Is Boss, next one can be a black Sorento, and then the next a blue Stinger. Robots, they are a wonderful thing.

I ordered my SX AWD Gray Moss back on March 3 and just received it on Sept. 5th. Sorry I meant Dark Moss.

If that's what they are doing now, then once your Moss Is Boss is finally built, they will most likely mark that up as well. Then you would have wasted 1/2 year waiting. Some people got theirs much quicker, not sure how that happened.

I agree. Be prepared to be disappointed when they try to mark it up on you. It happened to a few people here.

It is not working on any of the dealer sites that provide the window stickers. Lets just hope that its an outage of some sort and will be back up soon

They’ve made very few Espresso interiors. I think Moss/Espresso is my favorite combo as well, but seems like it may be tough to get.

I placed my order for a White S trim Telluride on July 6, 2019. I was told the turnaround was 90-120 days but the dealership I ordered through had been seeing a 70 day turnaround. The 70 day turnaround is in 4 days and would be a pretty sweet birthday present to myself. However, I had so much trouble getting ANY information whatsoever from dealership in the last 66 days; all I would get in response is "we will update you". Sorry but that is not good enough for me. Finally after 30 days of no news and reaching out to dealership owner, I was notified that order was placed and waiting on production. Another 30 days later and production still hasn't started. I have no VIN or order number to reference. No responses to voicemails or emails from dealership. Guess I'm going to dealership today.

Sounds like the dealership I ordered from, told me the exact same thing and am about 25 days in and haven't heard a word from them other than confirmation that they placed the order(request).

I am at 6 weeks on my order for a AWD S model. Still no new news other than my order was accepted. I have an order number, can i look anything up with that? Can any other dealerships look it up for me?

My dealership is also looking into dealer trades for me but whenever I look online at inventory, everything seems to have black interior and SXs (especially non-prestige) are few and far between anyway. My existing car is now acting up. We replaced the batter but now it’s looking like the wiring harness needs replacing. I’m over spending money on my current car while waiting for this one with no update in sight. Considering abandoning it altogether and looking at the Palisade but I don’t want buyers remorse.

Hang in there! Possibly sell your existing car if you can for a better price than a trade, and pick up a long-term rental for a while. Or, ask your current dealership for a loaner until yours arrives... will hopefully be soon. Note that Butterscotch interior cars will all be listed as "Black" when searching online. You can only see the "Butterscotch" as a line item on the right hand side of the window sticker - so you have to look at individual window stickers with Kia's VIN lookup URL (posted elsewhere on this site).

But, the Palisade is also a good option!

After trying to get a hold of my sales representative at the dealership I placed my order with for over a week, I was informed today that my sales representative no longer works at the dealership which explains the lack of communication. The sales manager did confirm that my order was placed and is still on “unfulfilled” status, but he was going to call their Kia representative today to get a status update. He said he predicts it will be another 4-6 weeks before the order is filled.

Also, I was a little concerned over the legitimacy of the dealership I was working with because when Kia changed their website a few weeks ago (which is terribly designed and not user-friendly at all), the dealership I worked with no longer appeared as an existing dealerships according to Kia. Their inventory also does not appear on the main Kia website inventory list. Very odd. On the old Kia website, it did appear.

Called my dealership again today for another update and he offered to send me a screenshot of my order showing that it was still unfulfilled. I guess it gave me some comfort to know my order existed somewhere and I had proof of something to hold on to until I get some sort of update. Ordered mine on July 25th Ebony black with black nappa interior and still waiting. I was in S. Korea and saw Mohave Masterpiece and it's absolutely gorgeous. Considering getting it instead over Telluride.

Absolutely will do. That's what's happening with Paliside as well. Importing those vehicles over the sea is way faster than building on their own lol. I also saw the new look of Kia Cadenza 2020 and Sonata. They are just amazing.

Ordered july 6th Moss SX. Called dealer Aug 6th they said some fake ass B.S. "theyre are some SXs coming on the boat from Korea(LOL-almost literally LOLed but somehow held it back) but they cant see the Vin to tell whose they are". I called Sept 6 got some B.S. "We have no Idea when its arriving its all in KIA Canadas hands...... but Id be shocked it its more than 2 weeks". They they called me Yesterday "Your Black??? SX is in Port"

Originally talking to the salesman we said Black or Moss but after finance clearly told him MOSS. Anyways dont feel like waiting all over again. So I am heading down to the dealership shortly to pick it up. Im 90% sure they are going to try some Delivery/Admin/Destination added fee B.S. We clearly agreed to Xprice over X months "all In". So I aint paying no extra charges right now, Ill walk.

Ill let you guys know in a few hours if I got it or not.

Maybe try a different dealership. We ordered everything on our sx prestige package. Gravity Gray. Built on March 29 picked up by Kia on may 29th and delivery date 07/5/19
