Order to delivery time

I ordered a AWD SXP White/Black nappa on 7/27 with a $500 deposit. I have a printout directly from the dealer's computer showing the Dealer Request at 90 days out. Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring on countdown days. I have yet to hear anything from the dealer and didn't know how proactive I should be on contacting them to find out more info. My hubby doesn't think I should bug too much, but I'm so excited for this car (in the past 12 years, I have only driven mini vans) and am very excited for my non-mom-mobile.

Have any of you had better luck, one way or the other? Does pestering work or does it ultimately get you no where?

Agree with the poster above. No need to pester but for sure ok to check in every so often. I waited till a month after I ordered to check in and when I did they did have an order timeline update. 2 weeks after that they emailed me on their own giving me my vin number and that the car should be at the dealer the first week of October

Ordered Dark Moss SX FWD with Grey Interior on August 5 in Greensboro North Carolina . Been 6 weeks now and absolutely no movement on the order . Kia has'nt even accepted the Order for Production . Trying to be patient but loosing it with zero updates from them . Paid a non refundable $1000 to the dealer now stuck with them and cannot even buy a inventory car from another delaer .
That weird a non refundable deposit. I have never heard of that before . I placed a deposit and got a refund because they didn't communicate about my order.

It will be given to you later in process once it's been allocated to that dealer. I never got delivery date until a few weeks before delivery - and it showed up early. Ordered April 30, took delivery on Aug 12. Delivery date provided was Aug 24 - but didn't get that until early August. I started watching cars.com inventory and kia.com inventory at my dealership about a month before expected delivery. I knew to expect in August based on the delivery dates reported by other members of this forum. So far, I don't believe that we've heard of any July SX-P orders being filled yet (when Kia reopened SXP ordering). They were still working through the April and May orders. Non prestige trims, perhaps they have been fulfilled.

Since you ordered an EX, maybe by early October? Just keep bugging your dealer to find out when it has a date assigned. The allocation to the dealer will depend on their sales of other models... so if it's a small dealership, it could take a while if they aren't moving Sportages and Optimas.
If you order the Kia in July , the schedule delivery should be September or early October.

Same goes here. I got so pissed at my retard salesman. Never update me at all and when I ask for it, that piece of shit always makes an excuse saying that he has been with a customer all day long. So I went to back and cancelled my ordered and got my deposit back. Oh and I said, "I'm f&$%ing done. Not doing business anymore with you guys".

I have ordered again with another dealership who responds my questions immediately and communicate way better. Plus, they offer life time warranty on powertrain!

Ordered my SX from Orangeville Kia (north of Toronto) July 7th and received it Aug 20th. I have had it for a month and LOVE IT!!!!! Worth the wait.

Ordered mine Aug. 8
Delivered Sept. 17

And here is aka White Chocolate

Traded in a bmw x1
Wow,that is extremely quick compared to what I have been seeing from other peoples waiting times.
I ordered a SXP White with Dune Brown interior, with illuminated scuff plates and the interior lighting option as well as the tow package.
Perhaps, adding these options may result in longer wait time? We ordered on August 7th and the salesman who submitted the order told us that it got accepted 3 days later.
I was told by the dealer that it could be as late as November before it's delivered.

I ordered a SWP SX (non-prestige) on July 20th. We received the VIN almost two weeks ago and it showed up on the dealer's website last Friday. I called the dealership to check on an estimated delivery date and they said they don't have a delivery date but that it's still scheduled to come in October. From what I have been reading in this forum, most people are getting estimated delivery dates soon after they receive the VIN. Am I wrong?

If you have a VIN, and it's on the dealer's site, also check cars.com, then it's likely either there or a short time away from being delivered. Keep checking daily ... October is next week... so maybe they are correct.

Thanks for the reply! I'm watching the websites like a hawk!

Thanks for the info on watching the VIN.

If the dealer does not update it's internal system... cars.com or any third party site will not get updated.

Has anyone gotten butterscotch interior? I ordered my SX in early July with $1,000 deposit and dealer is dodging me. My concern is when new inventory I search arrives, no one is getting butterscotch - it is all black and grey - so are those being produced slower?

We sometimes put inbound vehicles on our website 3 weeks before they actually arrive. Then they post to third party sites.

I've seen a ton of butterscotch getting delivered to local dealerships around here. Are you looking at the window stickers? Not all the seat colors show up as the interior color for some reason, but as an option.

Thanks. I'm just looking at inventory online to keep my eyes open and online I am mostly seeing black / grey in my area. So good to know they are out there. My dealer has told me the car "could arrive any day" yet doesn't have a VIN or window sticker so I don't think he's being fully truthful.

Yeah, I had been wondering about that too, and happened to be looking at a window sticker one day and realized the interior color said "black" but under additional installed equipment it said "butterscotch leather seats" but that is the only place it shows up. Everywhere else online just says black interior.

We ordered a Moss/Black AWD SX Prestige August 31 with a refundable $500 deposit. No word yet. We were told it would be 4 to 5 month wait.

Just got a message from a dealer we were in touch with in El Paso, TX saying they have a white SX-P with dune brown interior if anyone is interested and in the area. It’s just not the exterior color I’m looking for. Still holding out on my moss green/dune brown SX-P I ordered on 7/25. Just thought I’d share! Casa Kia in El Paso.
What dealer is this?
