Order to delivery time

I ordered sxp and dealer didn’t know for sure, thought it would be 3 to 4 months. They sent an email to me this week saying they had no eta yet. I ordered September 12.

I was told 2-6 months haha. Order was accepted immediately (8/7), was not picked up for production until 9/25 with eta 11/30. I’m at almost 3 now waiting for moss sxp dune interior no tow package. My dealer said someone had ordered prestige package in February didn’t come in till August. I waited a month before even asking if he’d heard anything as I knew this was going to be a few month long process.

I ordered my sxp gravity grey, grey interior with illuminated scuff plates and wheel locks on August 29th was told last week that it would be in November 9th but no vin number was provided. Just got a call today saying it's ready for pick up all in all less than 8 weeks. I can't wait to pick it up. I ordered from a northern Virginia dealership.

Hoping this may help those looking to order. I ordered mine through website called Newcar.com (it's run by a dealership in MIami), I'm in Jacksonville, FL but they do deliver anywhere and will deliver to my house....no 6 hr road trip! Woo hoo!
Customer service, all by email, has been good. Have payment (financing with Kia) and sales price, taxes, etc all in writing (no dealer fees btw).
Ordered on 10/1...sent me a copy of order as well. Received update from them on 10/14 that vehicle build was scheduled for that day. Nothing since but they have been good about updates.
I ordered GG SX FWD and paid $40,916 (about $1600 under MSRP!!).
I looked today and still selling under MSRP.
*site does say 4-8 weeks for delivery but has from the beginning, doubt they update very often.
So far I would highly recommend them.

If you're around NJ, Sansone Kia in Avenel has a white SXP with black interior for sale. Their sticker shows MSRP but I dont know if they're marking up, but for my (pre-ordered) car I got it MSRP - incentives.

Ordered an S on Aug 17th after putting down $1000 non-refundable deposit after being told they had to tell us 3-4 months but to realistically expect 2-3. Its now been a little over 2 months and after multiple calls and being told we can not tell you anything, the sales manager apparently spoke with the regional manager and they worked with Kia Corporate to "expedite" our order. She is now giving us an ETA of December 21st but stated the order has still not been accepted and they do not have a VIN. Due to a planned vacation the day after Xmas and needing a vehicle that fits our family (7) we are now looking at other dealers for our vehicle and may just be out the deposit as we can not cut it this close with a guess at an ETA. The sales manager told us if the regional manager hadn't stepped in the expected due date was January/February timeframe. So its pretty clear many dealers are over promising and under delivering.

I ordered July 6, S trim snow white pearl/black, $500 deposit. Crickets for 3 months from dealership, even with me questioning them. I finally received paperwork that order was accepted late September/early October. Then the VIN came two weeks later with estimated delivery of 10/24. I verified on 10/18 delivery was still 10/24. I received an email MONDAY (10/21) that my delivery got pushed back a week to 10/30. This has been the longest, worst, car-buying experience ever. I really hope this Telluride lasts me 20 years - if I ever get it!

Talked to Kia Corporate today (they called me... I might have made a stir... ). Super pleasant lady but the problem was that she kept referring me to the dealer for information until I finally convinced her that information wasn't available. I shared with her the horror stories, the lies from so many dealers, and the frustrated impact it was having on their brand. They have so much opportunity to do better and if you're coming off a high end vehicle brand, you know what I'm talking about.

Some interesting information from the conversation:

1. For any sold order, the dealer has an internal # (which begins with 000 - and is all numbers). If you have this number, Kia can actually lookup your order and provide information that might yet not be available to the dealer. This is not the alphanumeric number that begins with the two letter state abbreviation (which Kia corporate doesn't have access to)
2. In my case, they struck out. But they were able to search for anything currently in-transit that was the model/trim/option package I was looking for and found one. (sadly, that dealer's about to get a nasty post in the bad dealer thread)
3. Time from 'Invoice Date' to 'Delivery Date' (to the dealer) is ~30 days at least from Georgia to the west coast (California). We figured this out after she gave me the VIN of the vehicle she had found and looked up some other information.
4. Tellurides getting invoiced right now (and it sounded like maybe roughly when VINs are getting issued) are landing in late November/early December according to the rep.

She said some other stuff that I know was not true but it was a reasonably good call. Still didn't end with an ETA though.

I went back to my local dealer and ordered exactly what I wanted Telluride SX AWD w/prestige, towing etc.. Gray nappa 7/29
Arrived at my dealership 10/23 late afternoon, picking it up 10/24
priced at MSRP - incentives

They have 4 other Tellurides that came in the other day which are not spoken for.

Congrats! They told me they were selling at MSRP but I didn't get a chance to post that so I hope thats what you got it for!

Yea, got it fully loaded for $47.1 w/1.9% financing. Thanks again, my long wait is over. It’s essentially the same car I ordered in August. Now just gotta get my $1k back from local dealer...once again thanks for the heads up!!

Found the exact EX-P that we would have originally ordered if it was available back in August this morning and put down a deposit on it as quick as we could! Dealer said it has a delivery date of 11/4 but they are hoping it will show up next week! Hopefully the wait is over.
