Order to delivery time

Okay ya'll have me super worried. Ordered my Telluride EX-P Black on Black on October 7th and was told 8 weeks - possibly moving into January, It seems like everyone with the massive wait times is ordering SX models. Anyone have any insight on the wait times for this model of Telluride? My current car's registration is out in January and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for that if my Telluride can get here before the end of year.

Definitely had a good laugh on this one - however the more interesting update is how pleasant Kia customer relations was today. I called to try and get them to verify my order and also planned to discuss this other dealer (who as would have it, might have just stepped into illegal territory so I had nice discussion with them about that as well) - but anyways, the initial rep took info, I scanned in my paperwork from the order and uploaded, and then said someone would call me back. It only took a few hours but I got a nice call with a well-versed gentleman who really started to dig... and his comment was actually that he thought it should have been processed and was worried that the order had been dropped. He's taking ownership of getting info and a resolution - a pleasant surprise giving my general feeling about Kia and their dealers at this point (present company excluded, of course). We'll see what happens but I'm actually optimistic based on the call.
 
Order placed 9/3. Gravity Gray S Dealership called and my order had been filled and waiting to be invoiced on 10/18. I called dealership this week and they said the ETA is 12/14. They still do not have the VIN. I called KIA just to see if I could get anymore information and they basically told me the same thing. Very nice though. So it will be about 3 months before I get it. Not the 2 months I was hoping for 😣

I would so take 3 months.I'm a few days away from the 3 month mark
 
When I initially ordered the salesman said that they are supposed to say 3 month wait but they had been coming in 2 months. So I was optimistically hoping for 2🤞🏼
 
Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.
We order the same vehicle and options on March 25th and picked it up August 12th

I ordered an SX w/ prestige package, black copper/black leather on Aug. 23. I asked the dealer prior to ordering what timeframe would be. He looked on his computer and said 6-8 weeks/2 months. At exactly 6 week mark I inquired, and was told my vehicle will now not be here until 12/15 (16 weeks/4 months). I called the Kia 800 number and customer service was HORRIBLE. Very difficult time having my "case manager" call me back. At one point when I was saying how upset I was, a customer service rep told me that perhaps I should ask my dealer if I could get my deposit back. I've never owned a Kia and so far I am not impressed.

Sorry about the experience. They should not have discouraged you any further. KIA has never had a demand like this. All new for everyone. No true system in place to pinpoint an arrival.

But to tell me 2 months and then at the 2 month mark tell me another 2 months is really unacceptable. And what I didn't include in my first post was my experience leading up to placing my order, which was basically cocky salesmen who had no interest in placing an order for me. I couldn't get anyone to take my $48,000! Yes, there is a high demand for this vehicle (God I hope the wait is worth it), but I am one of those people who put customer service ahead of even product most of the time. So this experience has really left a negative impact on me.

Go to kia direct. That is third party and looks like a botched copy and paste or a “I’m lazy, I’ll just update the date” job.

Yep, I'm livin the dream/nightmare here. Placed our order for an EX AWD on Aug. 28 and were told it would be 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. We were also told that we would most likely receive order confirmation from KIA within 2 to 3 weeks. Nope. Unfortunately that's where things turn south. I have called Napleton Kia 4 times to check on the status of our order and have never received a call back or any acknowledgement at all. We had high hopes for this dealership, they are part of the Costco plan and were very proactive when it came to earning our business. The wait is actually understandable. I get it. But the total lack of communication is very unprofessional.
