Ya man.... Miami sounds perfect this time of year. 9 degrees this morning. Last place I stayed was Aqualina in Sunny Isles. I'd cut off a finger to be there right now.

Did they order it for sure? I've had people reach out to me from all over the country finding out dealer never ordered buy they are waiting for a similar vehicle to arrive. Very common issue.

He sent me a screenshot of the request ID. Trying to recall if we signed papers on the trade in value and purchase price to avoid any last minute surprises...

Do I count, LOL. Technically my May 20th order was delivered around October 19th. However I still don't have it as a scratch was discovered during inspection and I am still waiting on it to get fixed and don't have the Telluride yet.

Just called Kia Customer Service to see if they had any info on my July 25th order of an SX-P. He was a little shocked I hadn’t received a delivery date given that I ordered a while ago, but did say that they are currently producing around 15-20 Tellurides per day but taking in about 25-30 orders per day. In other words... it’s gonna be a while. He was nice enough to say he’d look into it and see what he could find out and give me a call back. Though he has to get in touch with the dealership which I’m sure they’re going to love hearing about me going around them to get info. LOL.

So after reaching out to Kia Corporate, I got a phone call yesterday evening from the dealership I placed my order with. The man who contacted me claimed to be the general manager and was very confused about what the “request ID” was and said it was “meaningless”, and that despite me having the screenshot to prove my order was placed with my name on it and my order details, he doubts that my order was actually ever placed. He said we’re likely just waiting on an allocation similar to what I wanted. How can that possibly be? Is it possible that despite having a request ID and the details with my name attached to a Dealer Request Detail that it never was truly ordered or does this guy just have no idea what he’s talking about? Either way, I’m getting fed up.

That’s what he couldn’t tell me. He thinks it wasn’t because at the time of my order I was technically working with a salesperson who is no longer working at that dealership. How could I know for sure if the Dealer Request Detail is supposedly “meaningless”?

I have the screenshot that’s why I’m so confused. Everything adds up on the screenshot. Long story about the deposit, but essentially they told me I could order an SX-P before they actually could so I placed a $1,000 deposit that first time, then a week later they said that orders for SX-Ps could not be placed so they refunded my deposit. Then at the end of July when orders for SX-P’s officially reopened they supposedly placed my order but said because of all the hassle I’d been through previously, they would not require me to place a deposit this time.

Tried to, they said it would not be necc. They called me a couple of weeks ago and told me they just got in a unit close to my order except it did not have the rear bench seat I need and it was only $1900 more. So I wait...

I called one dealer about Costco pricing was told Costco did not allow that pricing on Tellurides. He added if some dealer says they are probably not being truthful. Quickly eliminated that one.

I've heard so many far out stories. A dealer told a woman in California she could not purchase a vehicle out of state. Not allowed.

This is only second vehicle out of Ford family. Ford retiree. Drove the new Explorer NOPE!! Really liked the new Avaitor but not for 20K more. So I figured I would have a back and forth but Cocoa Kia made it really easy.

My dad currently works at Ford (31 years) and gives me so much flack for wanting a "foreign" car. I told him, well the Aviator cost too much and Ford needs to step their interior game up.
