Order to delivery time

Ok, I just got a order number! Wy004-191204j001 can someone tell me if this is real and in line someplace or anything! Thank you

Don’t know about the “-“ but looks like a Dec 4 2019 order in WY

Ordered a White AWD SX from Ed Voyles Kia in Chamblee GA on 11/16/19 with a refundable $2k deposit at MSRP. Was given an ETA of 1/26/2020 a couple of weeks ago and just go the VIN number and window sticker. Probably being built right now. The countdown begins.

See prior post. You have a 12/4/2019 order from your dealer.

Thank you for confirming! Greatly appreciated the wait time will kill us. Lol

They are a reputable dealer. User @TxAggie ordered from them and took delivery recently, and I almost did... but was able to get my order fulfilled through Archer (it was a long time ago before markups).
Yes, we got ours and couldn't be happier.

By the way, on Jan 1 when we picked ours up, the salesman told us they had 90 orders currently and he estimated a new order placed that day would take 6 months.

Kia website updated with price increase

SX model +300
Prestige Package +300
Destination +80

Is this something Dealers are aware of?

I just e-mailed my dealership to question this in regards to what I will be having to pay once my order finally comes in and they said they have received no bulletin and me asking was the first they had heard of it.

There was a email sent to all dealers about price increase to all models.

Interesting that mine said they had no idea then...

You either pay attention or you don't
It was a memo in our internal system that not all sales people have access to.. but yes managers should be paying attention and informing staff

Thats what I figured. My salesperson said they spoke with their manager - but who knows.

I'm locked into my price though they said - so I guess i don't even have to worry about it!

Yea, I ordered back in November. So, I figured the price would be honored - but since I never signed something stating that information ahead of time I just wanted to verify.

Read your sales contract for the order which probably varies based on the dealer (my case Elgin Napleton Kia). On the back of mine, the 2nd paragraph covers them for price increases by the manufacturer. I think it's crap to do that mid-model year and after people have agreed upon pricing, but is what it is at this point. I'm fully expecting when I go to pick mine up (whenever that is 2-3 months from now), that the price will be reflective of the changes. Stinks because with the reduction in lease cash of about $500 and the increase in $680 ($600 SXP and 80 delivery) since I put down a deposit in mid-Nov, I'm losing about $1,180 that I could have spent on weather tech mats and ceramic coating, etc... Still much cheaper than any similarly equipped alternative vehicles, but frustrating nonetheless.

I guess what adds insult to injury is the price increase coupled with the extended wait times. We understand we have to wait, but don't twist the knife. The extra cash for delivery seems especially egregious. The Palisade costs less to ship from S Korea!

We can't eat costs that the manufacturer gives us. Nearly impossible to absorb all of that.

Yeah, at $1,095 for the Hyundai and $1,170 on the Kia... it's a pure money grab. If the Palisade wasn't so fugly, I would pick from any that I want. Literally 1 mile away at a dealer near me they have 26 on the lot as of right now. And they are selling at a pretty solid discount under MSRP since they have so many sitting there that aren't moving.

It's not that dealers can't, just that they won't given the popularity of the vehicle. It eats into their bottom line further, and given that they are selling quick and for in most cases MSRP or higher... they don't have any reason to accept any less in order to move them. I don't blame the dealers really in this particular case, I blame the manufacturer for putting them in this situation.
