Got the call yesterday. My Telly has arrived! Dark Moss EX FWD ordered on 11/30, ETA was for 2/22, then revised to 2/15 then 2/9 and arrived at the dealership on 2/6. VIN generated on 1/29. Kia must have really upped the production in the new year for it to arrive so soon. Also, I saw no EX non-premium produced in the first half of Jan, but they produced a bunch of them (based on the VIN lookup tool) in the last week of Jan and first week of Feb, so looks like they make them in batches.

Hope the wait ends for you guys soon as well! Picking up my Telly today.

Tried the site like you sent, would not load the page, waited half hour no luck. seems like a lot of work going through this to get what you need. Why do we need a salesman if we are doing all the leg work. Thinking about Luther Kia or just going back to Ford.

Make sure you have a order number. Many people have ordered and waited only to find out there was no order placed.

From my understanding, vin is created then it is built.

Hope so, I think a lot depends on the dealer you placed an order with and how many allocations they get for SXP along with how many ahead of you. Not uncommon for folks to be looking at 6-8 months for SXP's from what I've been told by several dealers I've spoken with over the past few days/weeks.

Then it wasn't built on Jan 27th. Ask for a screenshot from KDealer with order.

I was told similar by sales person but when I ask specific they cannot tell me. I just talk to the general manager now. He said not scheduled to be allocated until May. I ordered on November 15th.

I don't even think they know that yet. Unless he is guessing at how many in front of you and about how many they see a month.

Allocated in the May batch would mean you are not going to see your car till likely August if the 2-2.5 months from the time it's picked up holds true. 9-10 months is crazy.

My bad, Jason. Don't cancel my order!!! No worries! We just try to shoot down what is not confirmed. Could it happen? Sure, but we never know until they tell us.

Reply nope there were lay-off at a company in town and when I went to talk to manager they said they had a cancellation on 1 that matched close but different color and no tow package that was due in 2/23. He asked if I wanted that one. I took it because when I ordered the said February or early March. I couldn’t wait until May or June so I said Yes.

I ordered SXP dark moss with dune interior with tow package from Fort Bend KIA in TX on 8/26/19 and it was delivered 2/7/20.
I would highly recommend this dealership which keep me updated month to month.

Car looks great! I'll be looking to order from Fort Bend Kia as well due to their reputation online so far but waiting on the 2021 whenever they get announced.

VIN Created: 1/31/2020
ETA now: 2/24/2020

Wasatch Front Kia in Ogden, Utah. Very smooth transaction so far.
