  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Sounds like BS. Since you have the order number what are they saying about it?
They aren't saying anything. When we pointed out that we have a reference and proof of a $500 deposit, they processed a refund (AmEx) of the deposit 5 min later. My fear is they are going to put it into KFOS after we go away since they have all the info to prove it's a legit order, then say we walked away and sell it for the 10K over they are asking for non-orders. We have filed a complaint with Kia's 'Consumer Assistance Center'.

You are probably right. Money plays unfortunately.

These reports are crazy! Wow, just wow. Hopefully the increased production and new Sorento can calm this frenzy down a bit.

You wrote in a prior post that you saw your VIN on 1/29 and were given an ETA of 2/16? Was that your vehicle? If so, that would be quick turnaround, but possible. Now they are saying that you don't have an order? Sounds like they are trying to renege in order to sell with a markup - since markups are still prevalent. They have instructions to sell to the buyer on the order - so call Kia directly and raise heck. Having an order number will help.

If that wasn't your 1/29 VIN, then it's possible your order was cancelled in the system if they weren't following directions with KFOS allocations.
(sorry, long post)
This is where Part 2: Adding Insult to Injury, begins....
You are correct, I saw the VIN and was sure it was ours because at the time we ordered there was a glitch in the software that would not allow the black/black SXP-T combo. The glitch was fixed on 10/24 and our sales rep redid the order, therefore ours would have to be the first one for our dealer with that combo. At order we were told delivery was expected in 12-16 weeks. When I saw the VIN for our combo pop up on 01/29 it fit both the time frame and parameters. We texted the sales rep to ask if this was our VIN and she informed us it was a close match but not ours. However, it was an order another customer had backed out of and we could have it if we wanted. Of course we jumped on it, confirmed via email we would get it at the Costco price and eagerly awaited its arrival. As luck would have it, we were out-of-state when the truck reached the dealer on 02/08. Throughout the weekend they sent us photos, we arranged pick-up for today (02/12) and confirmed the details several times with both the sales rep and her sales manager. On Monday, 30 minutes after our final confirmation with the sales manager for pick-up at 9AM on 02/12 and, as we are about to board our flight home, we receive a text message from a different sales manager we'd never heard of, informing us that we couldn't have this truck and in fact we do not have an order with them/our order was never placed. Upon landing we appealed to the acting GM who told us he couldn't sell it to us for the Costco price because they were selling it for MSRP +10K.
Yesterday and today have been spent raising holy heck with KIA Consumer Assistance Center and the Costco Auto Program, we'll see what happens. Needless to say, we are bitterly disappointed that we couldn't pick up our beautiful new Telluride today as promised!

Also..... Costco has nothing to do with these sort of situations. All on the dealer 100%.

OMG that is horrible. I am so sorry. I hope your story has a happy ending. always get everything in writing.

I see my VIN was created on 2/5/2020. Do you know about when I would receive the vehicle?

Didn't figure Costco could do anything... we just thought they should know in case they want to remove the dealership from the program. Apparently this isn't the first time they have done this to a Costco customer.

If my VIN was created on 2/5/2020 does anyone know when I should receive the vehicle?
