Order to delivery time

Didn't figure Costco could do anything... we just thought they should know in case they want to remove the dealership from the program. Apparently this isn't the first time they have done this to a Costco customer.
Is the SX-P for them even on the list? What was the Costco discount for them?

If my VIN was created on 2/5/2020 does anyone know when I should receive the vehicle?
Depending on your location, I think it could be within the next week. Have you asked your dealer to check the status?

how long did it take to post Vin once u had a delivery date?
ETA is given when car is allocated officially by Kia to the dealership.. Vin takes can take a month or so to be built but can vary.. I would say if you have an ETA and it is 04-15 expect vin to be made around 03-15.. but also has to do with location you got Telluride from the Georgia Plant.. transportation to dealership also effects timetable

I got the vin 1/10/20 and the vehicle arrived by 1/31/20

Thank you, we are definitely getting everything in writing!

Sorry, not sure I understood your first question (Is the SX-P for them even on the list?). Costco price was MSRP.

Some dealers exclude SXP from Costco so they can gouge the consumer. If it was on list shame on them.

Hi Stephen, I have a SX-P that had a eta of today, 2/12. No word from the dealer. Can you check to see if it was delayed, HI001, 5XYP5DHC5LG066385

Showing IT status so it is in Transit... ETA showing 03-15

Also..... Costco has nothing to do with these sort of situations. All on the dealer 100%.
If the dealer backed out of Costco pricing maybe Costco can come down on them. But man.... This is just an absolute cluster you know what. This might hold the #2 spot. #1 going to the gentleman who pre paid and never got Telluride.

(sorry, long post)
This is where Part 2: Adding Insult to Injury, begins....
You are correct, I saw the VIN and was sure it was ours because at the time we ordered there was a glitch in the software that would not allow the black/black SXP-T combo. The glitch was fixed on 10/24 and our sales rep redid the order, therefore ours would have to be the first one for our dealer with that combo. At order we were told delivery was expected in 12-16 weeks. When I saw the VIN for our combo pop up on 01/29 it fit both the time frame and parameters. We texted the sales rep to ask if this was our VIN and she informed us it was a close match but not ours. However, it was an order another customer had backed out of and we could have it if we wanted. Of course we jumped on it, confirmed via email we would get it at the Costco price and eagerly awaited its arrival. As luck would have it, we were out-of-state when the truck reached the dealer on 02/08. Throughout the weekend they sent us photos, we arranged pick-up for today (02/12) and confirmed the details several times with both the sales rep and her sales manager. On Monday, 30 minutes after our final confirmation with the sales manager for pick-up at 9AM on 02/12 and, as we are about to board our flight home, we receive a text message from a different sales manager we'd never heard of, informing us that we couldn't have this truck and in fact we do not have an order with them/our order was never placed. Upon landing we appealed to the acting GM who told us he couldn't sell it to us for the Costco price because they were selling it for MSRP +10K.
Yesterday and today have been spent raising holy heck with KIA Consumer Assistance Center and the Costco Auto Program, we'll see what happens. Needless to say, we are bitterly disappointed that we couldn't pick up our beautiful new Telluride today as promised!
What an awful experience. I am sorry for you. Your experience should serve as a warning to others to be wary of any dealer who offers a Telluride to replace one that was officially ordered.

We specified SX-P when we contacted Costco and the sales rep sent us the comparison sheet, never mentioned anything about SX-P's being excluded.

That's a shame. So sad. Parkway Family Kia doesn't deserve your business. Keep fighting with Corporate, but there is little that they will do. Order from Stephen Cantrelle since you're in Dallas. He might get one in too - with one of the "first person to dealership" contests. I believe his dealership got 4 or 5 SX-P recently.

Hi Jason, are you guys still taking orders for Tellurides with Costco pricing? I think I have a lead on one close to me, but definitely want to explore my options.

Depending on your location, I think it could be within the next week. Have you asked your dealer to check the status?
I have next checked in with them this week but may give them a call. According to the spread sheet the VIN was created on 2/5/20. It is being shipped to California.

Just got an unprompted e-mail from my dealer informing me that her Manager told her that my Telluride would be here in March!

They haven't sent me any e-mails along the way unless I asked them a question first so I definitely think its the real deal for me.

Said they wouldn't know an ETA until next Wednesday though - can any of you think of a specific reason for that even though they know it will be here next month?

But my goal all along was to have it by Spring Break (I'm a teacher) so I could enjoy it and that looks like the case!

So, I guess this question should be directed more @Jason Fox, but maybe generically speaking any decent dealer can answer. If I'm now third in line to get my order, does that mean I'm now third in line for my order to be put in KFOS? Or does that mean that my order's been accepted and I'm just waiting on it? I've seen quite a few SXPs hit the shelf at Muncie the past couple days and I know I'm on the short list, so I'm just wondering exactly how much longer I've got. Thanks for any SA that people can provide. Super anxious for my ride.

Just curious, how do you know that you're 3rd in line to get your order?
