Hey, the S&P futures are up 2% right now...things really are looking up!
I ordered an SX-P on January 14 from Jeff Wyler Kia in Cincinnati. No Deposit and no market adjustment. I heard today it is being built on March 17 and I should have delivery the first week in April. That would be 11 weeks (the dealer originally said 7-8 weeks) The factory DID say the tow package MIGHT potentially delay the order due to parts availability, but they didn't think it would affect my build.
The dealership has been excellent so far with terms, information and updates. This would be my first Kia. I have been driving Land Rovers for 30 years. I am looking forward to the experience.
Thanks to all who have posted great information here. Much appreciated.
Thanks. Good luck with your order!Congrats! I ordered on January 15th...and my order hasn't been picked up yet. Still 7 SXP orders in front of me at the dealership I am working with. This will be my first KIA as well.
March 17 is St. Patrick's Day. Wondering if you ordered Moss Green...ha ha!I ordered an SX-P on January 14 from Jeff Wyler Kia in Cincinnati. No Deposit and no market adjustment. I put a deposit for SXP awd w/towing (white/black) from Muncie in September and not a word from Kia. Coming up on 6 month mark.Perhaps I benefited from Muncie's extra allocation too. I put a deposit for a SXP build identical to NREVANS' just before Halloween. Zach at Muncie just notified me that my order was accepted. That news brightened my day, especially after listening to the dismal stock market news on CNBC all morning.

i have reached out a few times, Muncie is quite good at getting back quickly, and Lucas says no word at all from Kia on my order. You won't hear anything from KIA...you need to reach out to your dealer. Several folks from Muncie on this forum and they are incredibly helpful. Muncie was overloaded with orders because of their pricing and have something like an 8 month wait. I think KIA is working with Muncie to help clear some of their backlog as they are one of the most overloaded dealerships represented on this site. Reach out to your salesman and ask how many people are ahead of you. My salesman at a different dealership has been very transparent as to where I am in line. Good luck.
So Lucas told me via text that they received two extra-KFOS (outside of KFOS, that is) allocations given to them by KIA. I would expect that KIA is trying to do what they can to alleviate some of the backlog. There are quite a few September/October orders, and if you are one of those, just keep waiting. I happy to be a lucky case, being one of the extra allocations. I did have the second oldest Muncie order left though, September 14th, and I imagine that I would be been one of the customers being allocated in KFOS this coming March 15th. The good news is that now you folks that are waiting are waiting for two less places in front of you, hopefully cutting your wait down by a month or two. Keep holdin out, it'll be worth it. If you've got questions about my timeline, just look at my signature block.i have reached out a few times, Muncie is quite good at getting back quickly, and Lucas says no word at all from Kia on my order.
