Order to delivery time

Has anyone seen the Dk Moss / Espresso combination ? I imagine the Espreso looked good in that pearl white one that already sold also. If I understand correctly that is the only interior color that includes the dash and steering wheel, Can anyone confirm that ?

Yes, Espresso interior is a dark brown - with brown dash and steering wheel. Very elegant combo. You can see pics on the forum, just have to search. Keep watching Dealer Inventory section too. If you see something posted, however, it can sell within the hour depending on trim. These things move fast.

Question for the board, if I have an ETA should I have a VIN# already too? I have a June ETA. Using the vin lookup tool on the site the only car that fits my specs for my dealer was produced in March. Does that make sense for a June delivery? Otherwise they haven't produced a VIN# for my car yet.

I tried to order a SX AWD on Thursday may 14th. My dealer called me back that evening and said Kia is not accepting any orders right now and they have NO idea why or how long that will be. Can anyone confirm if that is the case or not ? Originally they told me it could take 10 to 16 weeks.
Yes, I spoke with my dealer yesterday (May 19) and they said the order bank for 2021 models is closed until at least June/July timeframe. They're also indicating the order, once placed, will likely be fulfilled in 8 - 10 months. Hoping this is more of a case of under promise, over deliver but also trying to maintain realistic expectations

Ordered a Gravity Grey SX-P AWD on 2/8. Before COVID shutdown, was given an ETA of 4/20. Got the call yesterday saying my car is here, which was super fast and awesome EXCEPT like a lot of people right now, I've been furloughed from my job. Buying a $50K car when not making any money is not smart, so I unfortunately had to pass on it which is killing me after all the waiting.

So, if anyone is close to the DC area, there is a Telluride maybe available (not sure if they're just going to offer to someone else on list or what) at Fairfax Kia in Fairfax VA. MSRP, no up charge. This should be the VIN: https://www.kia.com/us/services/en/windowsticker/load/5XYP5DHC5LG091108
Thanks for the tip. I just called Ourisman Kia and they indeed have this Telly available for sale. But, the conversation ended very quickly when the salesman told me they are asking 59K. I had to ask him again because I thought maybe he meant 49K and he said 59K. I said, are you asking 10K over invoice and he said yes, that's what the market is demanding. I just laughed at him and told him thank you very much and good luck getting 10K over MSRP. As much as this vehicle is hyped up, there is no way on God's green earth that I am paying that much on a vehicle in this class. I will wait patiently for mine.

I happened to find an Ebony with Dune Brown SXP about a month ago to put a deposit down on that was supposed to arrive "any day now". Vin # was showing up as 3/7 and it finally showed up at the dealership yesterday. Picked it up last night. I was beginning to wonder if it was ever coming but worth the wait!
Congrats man. Enjoy your new Telly.

Okay I’m going to reply to my own post because I dug through all of this thread and got the most answers. Thanks to those with knowledge that have shared. From Stephen Cantrelle:
You can track the car it’s simply up to the sales consultant to communicate it to you.
FA-Factory Allocated ETA is generated

VA-Vehicle Allocated Telluride assign to be built get Vin #

TN-Telluride assigned final inspection and Transport tending(waiting for Transport)

IT-InTransit means Telluride is on the road to dealership

DS- Telluride is in stock ready for Pre-Delivery Inspection and get picked up by client

Also from Stephen is that Vin is assigned around 3 weeks out. For him in Texas, transport tending means about a week or so away and in transit is about 48 hours.

Good info! It’d be nice for those of us who are freaks about this stuff to be able to get that info from our dealers directly but at least we have this forum.

My question for Stephen is, are ETAs still holding pretty true and is the timing still consistent even if production has slowed?

Depends when you received your ETA. If you got your ETA in say Feb, March I have seen a average 2 month delay due to Covid and it’s effects... if you got your ETA last month than could be close to still being accurate to a month difference..

So now more than ever it’s a case by case situation. Also keep in mind where you are located effects the time it gets to dealer. I just pulled someone’s Vin # two days ago and his/her Telluride is IT(In Transit) and physically on the way to NM and it is almost a 3 week wait.

also another member here shortly had his Telluride show in DS... but transport didn’t have enough driver and he waited a week for it to show up while it was showing in Dealer Stock.

So once you/anyone on Forum have a Vin #... I can check to see status and help.. it’s just choppy water at the moment waiting for things to smooth out while everyone goes back to work

Thank you again Stephen for getting me my ETA! My dealership is small and doesn’t have as much information as you do, 34 more days!

I ordered directly with the manager as the sales guy was wanting above MSRP. We have 3 people from the office ordered around same tone.

So it has not shipped yet I take it? Also if it comes in before end of May I can take advantage of the 1000 rebate.

In your opinion I did not tow package and was not able to get it added later. Now I don’t have a boat or Rv was just getting it for having it will I miss it. I have already been waiting 5 months don’t want to wait longer

If you don't use it then no need to have it.

This is my NM VIN. Dealer texted yesterday. Still not here. She said she is ready and her driver is on the lookout.

Steve, any status updates your end for 5XYP5DHC7LG090512.
