Order to delivery time

Congratulations. Would you be able to post pictures of your car? I am particularly interested in how the side steps look as I am debating getting those as well. Plus would be nice to see the rest of the car as well. Enjoy your new ride!

My SXP/T order was also very end Nov from Muncie. I can wait, but it’s getting frustrating and I, like most, have no idea when I may receive. It’s a good thing my 2008 Lexus 400h nearly 200k mile car is still going, but it’s starting to need some repairs that are adding up.
What number are you on their list?
 
News finely! Dealer just told us at the end of this month. July 25th give or take a day or two. #191204j001 ordered December 4th SXP-T Black Copper in Casper, Wyoming. Hope this is true, almost gave up. We will see if it’s a real or not. Richard

We ordered from White's too and also have a tentative date of the 25th so let's hope those dates hold true and maybe we will see you there.

Tried for my second order attempt over the past year (first order got sold out from under us from a dealer in NM). Placed the order for an SXP+T dark moss/dune brown on 6/5 with I-25 Kia in Longmont, CO. They have vowed that they don’t do market adjustments. Was told that they would include our order on their next allocation around the middle of June. Called last week and was told I was the 13th order (not sure what that means). Anyone have any clue what time frame we are looking at right now with everything going on? Anyone have any experience with I-25 Kia? Thanks!

Ordering is usually 6-9 months of waiting.

No experience with I-25 - but I bought through Arapahoe Kia, and it has been a terrible experience. I would cancel, but my ETA is Aug. 17th

Thanks! Good to know about Arapahoe Kia. Oddly enough, when I search the inventory through the official Kia website, I-25 Kia doesn’t even come up as a dealership, but when I go to the I-25 Kia website they have 18 Tellurides in their inventory listed (likely all spoken for). Just interesting.
 
And that's how it should work... is this at Midtown Kia? If so, that is a fairly fast turning dealership with an average of about 12-15 Tellurides per month and multiple prestige per month (2 so far in January, 5 in December, 7 each in Oct & Nov). They have had a total of 154 allocations since March 2019 and 50(!) of which were Prestige (nearly 1/3 of total). That's a great ratio - they are number 5 in total Prestige allocations. Wonder what their queue is now for Prestige? Looks like a good dealership to order from.

The data doesn't tell you everything. I would steer clear of Midtown Kia. They will charge over sticker, try to upsell satellite tracking on the Telluride which already has the UVO modem. I have several personal stories of how they have switched out what I've asked for when shopping. Their the reason why I look up every VIN number of vehicles I'm considering as I once asked for a Sorento with AWD, test drove it and then they tried to put me in one without it when I was going to buy.

I've seen the salesmen leave the floor with customers waiting for one of their motivational rallies in their conference room. If one is nostalgic to go back to the 1980s car buying experience, this is the place for it.

My wife and I happily picked up one of those allocations at Ferguson Kia in January. The sales process is night and day.
Ferguson is no haggle, doc fee over sticker, that's it. And if they have incentives or rebates they take them off on any model including SXs. At Ferguson, ask for Sean Clemons.

We ordered SXP tow in Moss/Grey on June 10 at I 25 Kia! I was told October/November by the owner. All depends on their allocation it seems. I called the other day and added the Nightfall package. They told me production of 2021’s started in June so I kinda doubt your order was technically entered yet. Plus they had not entered mine as of a few days ago. I don’t think dealers can order yet from all I have read on this site. I 25 Kia has 144 Tellurides listed on the Telly lookup site posted here....with VINs, so it seems they are high volume.

@StephenCantrelle I've put a deposit down on a Telluride and the date of delivery was suppose to be 7/1/2020. They still don't have it, but they say it's showing up in their inventory. This is all they have told me, "Apparently there has been some kind of delay at the Cleveland distribution hub that we are trying to get to the bottom of. We have not received any notification of a delay and in fact that truck has "officially" been added to our inventory electronically (which means we've already paid for it) since last week." VIN # 5XYP5DHC7LG092390. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

I ordered in December 2019 - Was told June, no problem

2 weeks later my sales guy got fired, and no one reached out to me to let me know my emails going to him were going no where. Got a new sales guy.

4 weeks later, he got fired, and again no communication. I am now assigned to a sales manager.

Sales Manager calls and apologizes, and promises their communication will be better. Said he would call me when his next custom Black Copper came in so i could see the color in person - never calls.

Call Sales Manager around June, and was told due to COVID was pushed back to roughly August, and was pushed to a new sales guy.

I texted my new sales guy to ask if they had a Build#, VIN#, or ETA yet - he is on vacation, and says he is texting someone @ the dealership to call me. No one calls.

4 days later I call and demand to speak to someone who can give me real information... Was told my build got moved to a 2021 several weeks ago, but they couldn't let customers know, because 'it would be hard to call them all'. Then told me Kia doesn't provide build numbers, I called bullshit so he finally gave me a build number, and told me my ETA was Aug. 17th. He also made sure to tell me, if i wanted my deposit back i could have it, and cancel my order with them...... because he wants to stick it on the lot, and put a mark up on it.

Feel your pain. It's all to common with KIA Dealerships.

They are telling the truth, showing in dealer stock.. I had one do the same and showed dealer stock on Monday and just arrived today.
I think it has to do with the factory being closed for last week and therefore transport trucks got timing messed up.. It happens.. rare but happens.. should be there any day in my opinion
