If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

@Bcourt29 - if you have a partial VIN, you're still in a holding pattern. Just keep an eye out.

I'm on my fourth ETA (that I'm aware of) in the system and I'm wondering if anybody else had similar dates? Failcat created date was 7/13 and my first ETA was 8/11, then 8/22 then 8/29, now 9/5. I'm assuming part of the problem is the dealer is in Rochester, NY. Thanks :)

Good lord, I'm getting an early July dealer allocation EX-P and my ETA went from 8/26 to 9/12 to 10/1. I'm afraid to ask for another update.
similar feeling here. Place an order in may. ETA has jumped around from July to August to Sept 13 to Sept 5. Checked w/ dealer today they say no changes but they dont have a vin either. :(😒😒😒

Join the crowd! FYI - you should add your ETA dates to your signature so we can easily compare dates. Saw someone else had done that so I added it to mine. I am like you...slipped into October. Given how strong production numbers are these days - I think KIA has made the decision to limit how much production goes to sold orders. I think they are prioritizing dealer inventory which is why our dates keep slipping. At these build rates and our cars already in KFOS - we should be getting are cars in early Sept...not October.
Done. I'm a little rambunctious today because my dealer actually had 3 cars show up on Failcat today. All Nightfall...🙁

I know the feeling...

On the one hand, I see the logic in building the extra NE cars because of their ad campaign that cost millions to put on TV. They have to have cars on the road to do the full promotion. On the other hand, they could have saved the millions in ad expense and just built the cars they had on order and made (to quote the Wayans brothers) mo money mo money mo money. Sounds like their execs came from Audi Germany who always "know best" what to do in the American market (they don't).

Our EXP was delivered to Kia of Muncie today (8/19), 12 days earlier than the 8/31 ETA we got with our VIN. We're heading to Indiana this weekend--can't wait! We ordered on 3/17.
How far are you driving for that Telly?

You all have to remember that Nightfall wasn’t just some recent decision they made at the expense of your custom order.

They probably designed and planned it over a year ago, the sourced and contracted on the parts for it 6-12 months ago, then received them and had them sitting around all spring when the factory shut down. They had to get that stuff out as fast as possible to stay on track with inventory management, marketing, and financial plans. A necessary trade off to keep the business moving.

Yeah...you are probably right...still doesn't make the pain of folks waiting 6 months to a year for their cars...

I think they did the same thing with all the S models they build in June and July.

Found out today that my order has been entered into KFOS but don't yet have a VIN or delivery date. I will take this as great news today.
I think you only ordered a couple days before I did. I was told mine probably wouldn't make it into KFOS this round, so sounds like you may have just missed the cutoff. Crossing fingers for September. Congrats!

Ordered SX GWP with tow on August 12, 2020. Got an email from the dealer the next day saying we were in luck -"it looks like Kia will fill this order this month, build it next month and deliver it sometime in October. I'll have a better estimate once it lands on my inventory. I'll be back in touch next week once it does." Sure hope he's right.

Just talked to my dealer after sending him this SS from Failcat - he said none of those were customer orders....Kia just dropping vehicle inventory to dealers like its hot...

Hello, what about us? The loyal...patient...custom orders!?

BUT, Kia knew a year ago that they could not meet the demand for the 2020 Telly model offerings. They obviously saw the volumes being entered into KDealer. I say they have done a really poor job of managing the demand for the Telly. A small number on this forum compared to total buyers so most Telly buyers don't even know what Kia is doing. I sure hope the vehicle does not disappoint me as much as Kia Corporate does.

One thing is certain this vehicle will not disappoint...it's the waiting that is disappointing...but there are much bigger problems in the world right now, right!?

I believe I possess the current record. Today I received my first ETA . What makes it special is the the ETA date is 4 days shy of being exactly 1 year after the order date.

Can anyone beat a 1 year wait?

We will see...my ETA is about 10 days ahead of one year so if it keeps slipping I may get there. Also I have to get it shipped to me so it will almost certainly arrive at my home over a year from ordering.

I just saw my EX-P on failcat this morning. Called dealer and they said ETA is 9/7 but of course i'm waiting for confirmation from stephen when he gets a chance to track it for me. I ordered it on may 1st.
The wait might be over soon. 🤞 🤞 🤞 🤞

2020 Black Copper SXP ordered from the dealer on 12/14/2019. Allocation for dealer was mid March 2020. Model year changed to 2021. The Vin showed up on failcat on 06/26/2020. The ETA kept being pushed back. The car dropped at dealer evening of 08/18/2020.

Since I am getting mine shipped, I am just hoping there are no serious factory defects...like a drivetrain vibration. Then I will have deal with a local Kia dealer. Hope their service dept doesn’t suck as much as the sales dept!
