We will see. It now exists so the worry about another plant shutdown, slowdown or another big delay are behind me. That feels good.Don’t want to get your hopes up but you must be getting this earlier than your last ETA!![]()
Same. I'd love to know the logistics, especially since mine is due this Saturday (and I'll be out of town!) I'm really hoping that it comes a few days early and then I can take it on my camping trip. This is the longest week of my life.We will see. It now exists so the worry about another plant shutdown, slowdown or another big delay are behind me. That feels good.
An interesting tidbit, when I ordered my first car, the ETA was dead on. The day (I'm guessing) my car was built, there was another one identical to mine built 35 numbers ahead of mine for the same dealer. That car showed up a week before mine. They both beat a couple of cars that were produced ahead of them.
Would be interesting to know the logistics of transport for these things.
ETA 09-10 to Moritz Hurst
The car was built on August 4th.When did you actually put your order in at the dealer?
Looks like it wasn't actually ordered until August 5th.
If you are gone when your Telly is delivered, do they just park it in a garage until you can pick it up? I’d be concerned the dealership uses it for test drivesSame. Sounds about right. Good luck man!I have been checking this forum on a daily basis. It has been crazy and a little frustrating everyone has been having varying times of ordering a Telluride and then actually receiving the SUV. I ordered mine back on 7-31. I got great news yesterday from my salesman that my order has been processed by KIA. He told me I had an ETA of 10-10. I found this very surprising but I am crossing my fingers about it. I know many people had their ETAs delayed. Thank you everyone for sharing their experiences. We are all in this together!

I think it would be a bad look for a dealer if your custom ordered car had more than like 10 miles on it. I don't think many dealers would do that unless their intention from the get go was to sell your car to the highest bidder when it showed up.I wasn't worried about that until now, thanks for that. One more thing to add to list of anxieties regarding this car purchase...

A good dealer should hold it for you and not allow test drives.

Agreed on both points. Given the number of bad dealer experiences shared in this forum coupled with a lengthy wait time, I’d definitely align with my dealer and set expectations. It’d give me anxiety to not know this if I wasn’t available on delivery day
I’m digging the communication with this dealer
I seem to be of the slim few that has a date that Slips left

Amazing, my ETA just pushed back 12 days!
