If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

I still have the dealer closest to me saying they cannot take orders and any dealership that says so is incorrect. See below from him. I expect to go talk to the regional manager Friday to get his take. This same regional manager is over many dealerships that tell me they can order.

"We can not order them I apologize. Like I said those dealerships are telling everyone they can and then taking deposits to lock in the business and just sitting on them until they actually are allocated one or can dealer trade to get one in. Are you available Friday to stop out in the morning? You are more than welcome I'm sure to talk with the regional manager when he is here."

That store obviously is not allowed to order for whatever reason. Or maybe that particular region is not allowed to order... but again.. every day on here we are witnessing people order cars and get them in. Maybe just working with someone who doesn’t know how things are working nation wide

Which dealer, Capital and Byers said they would order. I ended up ordering mine from Crown due to their willingness to be more transparent without me really asking but they haven't been overly informative since the order, I would call it minimal updates. Didn't check with Ricart, Hatfield, or Coughlin.

Byers is who sent that email. Who from Byers told you they would order? Very interesting if they did.

Renaldo Deas is who I talked to on the phone. Took him a while to get back to me on residual and money factor so I moved on then he kept pushing a couple in stock options, but I definitely talked about ordering when we were on the phone. Maybe they don't want orders taking up their allocation, not sure why?

Edit: This was also in early march, so maybe something has changed with the dealership?

This is why the whole orders eating into allocation is dumb idea. I google the local kia dealers, there are 6 of them. The dealers that had huge mark up on orders or did not take orders have the same 9 tellurides in stock for over 3 weeks now. The ones that did take orders have had the same 2 tellurides they had in stock for the last 3 weeks now. The lower end models are not selling.

Took me a while to move my 2 LX models but finally Sold out of all units.. just waiting for next truck to arrive .. have one S model without deposit and 1 Ex without deposit out of 7 en route right now. Each market seems to be acting unique DFW is pretty much sold out.

Agreed. My dealer in the Dallas area was told the same regarding ordering a SX Prestige Telluride. Kia is way behind and the suppliers are having issues keeping up with the necessary parts to build the Prestige Package SX's. I guess some dealers can take your money and sit on it while they wait for ordering to open back up.

Hi Guys,

Im new here so this is my first post (great site by the way) My wife and I placed an order for a SX Prestige on March 29th. We were told it was about 6 to 10 weeks until we would get it. We placed a deposit on it and have yet to hear from the dealership. Was told we would hear soon about the status.

I ordered, sx prestige w/tow on 3/20 I’m still waiting to hear something! I was told 6 to 8 weeks. I just want the straight story! Am I on a real list that the KIA Manufacturing plant works off, (first come first served) or is this just luck of the draw? If your dealer is lucky enough to get the one you wanted.

I'm on the "list" too. Placed an "order" for a Moss/Dune SX/Prestige with a deposit on April 1 - dealer described it as ordering at that time, but in subsequent discussions the process has been described as follows:

1. Factory is building what they plan to build (they may have visibility to the aggregate demand by model, but not any specific order)
2. There is a regional allocation of inventory - presumably based on historical sales demand
3. That regional allocation gets parsed to individual dealers based on some logic
4. As part of that regional-->dealer allocation, individual orders are filled when there is a match
5. The "order" against that regional allocation is apparently in some kind of queue by region, but the factory doesn't have a production schedule that builds on that basis
6. My sales guy calls or emails me ~ weekly basis to provide an update... which has been nothing so far. He's looking at that weekly production allocation to see if I've been "matched" yet

As this has been explained to me, that's why there are no specific dates available.

You might ask if this is accurately described... I have no clue as it's a black box to customers.

Hoping I get something in June!

Good luck with your allocation!

I ordered April 5th. Was told filled on April 20th. But nothing since then.

I finally have an update...dealer said they have an ETA of the end of this month. Here's hoping I am in the final 30-day stretch. (Moss SX w/ prestige, dune and towing package ordered 3/5)

Mine (AWD SX Prestige Moss/Dune) was ordered on 4th April, I was told last week about my order was "Filled" and should arrive in by the end of May.

So about 8 weeks? Hopefully mine has the same timeline! They told me 6 weeks but that is obviously incorrect.

Ordered Gravity Grey with Grey interior SXP on March 5th and was told today it is looking like 3 more months, I guess I will have to do something else, that is crazy!

I ordered the exact same thing plus the towing package on March 11th and mine has a VIN and is ETA on 5/20. Taking 3 more months doesn't make any sense.

Good luck with your allocation!
I just don't see that working in the real world. Lets say that a customer wants a, b, c, x, y, z. The chances of getting all of those built at a factory with your level and opitions will not happen. And people would never get their cars.

3 months is a get of jail free car. Tell them 3 months and if they get it early, then they would be happy. Tell them 8 weeks and they get it 9 weeks, unhappy. I would say that 3 months may not be impossible at this point, but they should fill a lot earlier then that.
