• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My Telluride isn't even a week old and I already scratched some of the paint on the edge of my liftgate. It's not terrible, but.... sad.

Would the paint pen from Kia Touch Up Paint Pen (Z019) be able to address the issue if the scratch isn't on a flat surface but on the edge of my liftgate? It looks like it's dual-sided (one side for the paint and other side for the clear coat)

Have a picture of how it looks after you tried to use the pen? How much was the pen as well if you don’t mind me asking.

Paint pen was about $25. My scratch was a longer inch streak so it wasn’t really a good candidate for touching up.

It’s just bumpy even after slightly sanding it and I don’t know how to start over but I got the clear coat on there too. I would probably use a rubbing compound the next time to blend and smooth it out.

It looks deep like to the metal, I wouldn't think the paint pen would hide it well. It would match the rest of the paint but not fill in the indentation
