• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone know where to get a reasonably priced passenger mirror for a 2022 SX in Dark Moss? Thanks to a lack of attention while in a hurry, I snapped mine off and need to replace it. My local dealership wants almost $1400 for it and will will still need to be painted. I'm hoping someone knows of a good source for a salvage yard or something similar.

Nothing like replying to your own posts before anyone else has a chance to! I was able to find one on eBay but the wrong color. Given that the housing on my mirror only has a minor scrape, I think I am going to try to pop the cover off of the old and pop it on the wrong color one. Now to find a video on how to remove the cover without breaking it.

I was able to pop off the cover. I found a great video on YT showing someone breaking down an entire mirror assembly. One of the tabs broke off when I pulled the cover, but I was able to glue that back on with no issues. Gorilla Glue might make it even stronger than before.

The turn signal light is attached to the back of the cover with some small strips of foam that may be tacky or just that way from being pressed to the back of the cover over time. Either way, it came off fairly easily.

I was able to find several options on eBay for mirrors of different colors. Most ranged from $385-$480 depending on condition. However, I was searching salvage sites and found a 2020 dark moss mirror in perfect condition for $400 (plus tax and shipping). Keeping life simple, I jumped on that one and now have my old mirror I can put on eBay to offset the cost either as a whole mirror needing repair or I might part it out.

Just thought this would be helpful for someone else in the same situation.
