Hi @JonFar111! Thanks! We're very excited to swap out our 2017 Volvo XC60 for the Telluride! After looking at everything possible 7 passenger out there, it was really a no brainer due to the styling, available technology, and price! Glad to hear you love the car and have had good experiences with Russ Darrow and Metro! Curious if you explored a pre-paid service contract with either and if so, any thoughts?
Hi. Sorry, I totally missed this response. I have dealt with Assurant Insurance over the years and they’ve treated me well.

I understand a lot of people have placed orders only to have the dealer ghost after the fact and does not communicate..

Here I come in to help this community.
I have access to all stores and thier inventory.

* I have been asked if I can tell if an order was placed. I can see once an order has been filled and is given an internal number and a ETA. Unfortunately can not tell if dealer put in order only can see when the car is roughly 2-3 months out and can update as car gets built and when is in route to dealer. *

Need me to follow up on your placed order or confirm what a dealer is saying simple provide me the following and I will help you ASAP.

Dealer Code-Or name of dealer if you do not have it.

Trim level and package you ordered.

Color combination you ordered.

If curious I’m in Carrollton TX and yes I can place orders as well at MSRP(no Dealer adds or markup)

Dealership in Kentucky just gave me a VIN on Telly that they say is due in day after tomorrow. Dealership is Jake Sweeney in Florence, KY. VIN is 5XYP64HCXLG063964. You told me they only had a black on black one coming in. The one this vin is supposed to be for is a Dark Moss/Gray S Trim. What do you show for this VIN they just gave me?

That VIN has been in the Google Sheet since your question - you should have checked there then asked Sweeney about it or verified what Sweeney told you with the shert.. It was produced on 11-27, that's why the ETA is 12/19. Maybe Stephen was only able to see allocations / unsold or perhaps unproduced inventory - who knows. But, the spreadsheet is the best way to track - as once the combo appears, for a dealer then can get on phone to ask about it. Only way folks will be able to find their vehicles now that Kia has changed system.

In any case it's a moot point, because you already bought an EX.

Incoming units to dealers showed in Kdealer regardless if sold orders or not. I have had 3 cases now where it wasn’t the case. 1 I can understand...2 raises and eyebrow.. 3rd time I checked a vin that was given and it is a sold order unit.. didn’t show as incoming but shows up when searching vin specific.. so it appears they are changing Kdealer

1st pic is what they show on the way or in stock for a S FWD model.
2nd pic is what they show on the way or in stock for a S AWD Model.

Neither show Moss Gray/Gray interior S on the way.

Then I search last 8 of vin in last pic and it shows that the car you mentioned is at the dealership. When I drill down into the vin number link it shows a ordered unit for someone so don’t want to post that.

Makes me think my system is not allowing me to see certain order units only available units. And now this will be the 3rd time a unit is on its way that I could not see for some reason..

I have helped dozens of people accurately identify there Tellurides and helped them with giving updated ETA’s since they came out.

But with this new information I may need to close this thread... as units may be on the way that Kia is now not letting other dealers see.

My guess is that the SOLD orders had customers names attached to the invoices and KIA saw that as a privacy violation. KIA corporate monitors this forum and probably made note of it.

I wish Kia corporate would take note and figure out how to get those SOLD orders filled in a more timely manner! Or maybe they are watching and are punishing those of us that complain about their wait times... :oops:

They have a plan in place however some dealers are cheating the system. KIA could have filled 3x the amount of orders. Don't blame the manufacturer.... Blame the dealers. All I'm going to say about this.

If... IF.. Kia corporate is monitoring the forum and specifically this thread is it obvious that there is a need for someone to be assigned by Corporate to update orders from the status of filled/allocation to Dealer stock. Even if the order isn’t filled and still waiting to be allotted. Just some form of communication for the thousands of families who are waiting months for a Telluride. I bet my bottom dollar 1 out of 20 stores are keeping their clients updated..

Thank goodness we have people like @Michelw who made the spreadsheet and @jw_tx21 who is constantly trying to bridge clients here with orders to the dealers here who have inventory coming.

Will try to help the community in other ways..
