• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi,

I have a 2024 SX-P Xline.

I used the power inverter today to open my garage door, half way up the vehicle shut down. No power, nothing works. I checked the inverter fuse inside the car and in the engine. Both ohmed out properly. No other fuses visually looked blown. I tried jumping the battery but nothing.

Full disclosure, I got a check engine light a couple days ago. P045500, which I think means gas cap. I did just fuel up, but it didn’t go away.

Also, yesterday my push button start stopped working. I had to use the remote start to get it to turn on.

Any advice before I tow it to the dealership?

I know the inverter is 150w, and my garage door is probably more than that. It shouldn’t have killed the vehicle though.

Could be multiple problems. It sounds like the battery might be dead/dying AND the push button start button might have some kind of defect. Batteries fail, especially in the heat. If you have a battery tender, you might try hooking it up to see if it can bring the battery back. I got a CTEK mx5 a couple of years ago and highly recommend it.
