Correct. 2k. Not 4KIsn’t the prestige 2k?
I need awd anyway so 2k extra is manageable.

$54,800 for 2019 RX350L AWD Luxury with every possible option. So your decision sounds like it was based, in large part, to your dealer experience. Out of curiousity, what did the ‘19 Lexus set you back?
I too was not at all happy with the dealer experience. Does the Lexus feel like you spent your extra 10k well? Certainly, you’ll do well on resale.$54,800 for 2019 RX350L AWD Luxury with every possible option.
Yes, absolutely. Very impressed with build quality of this 4th generation RX. Typical Lexus in terms of comfort, quiet interior, and just the way it drives. I sleep easier knowing that it’s a Toyota and not a BMW, and yeah, resale value is strong.I too was not at all happy with the dealer experience. I think you may be showing your age, Germany's currency has been the Euro since 2002. I do know from personal what you mean about BMW and Mercedes charging for every little thing. I was thankful when we bought our SL550, there were very few options available.
That’s only 1/2 of options you loose. You will get the $2000 back on resale. Don’t make the mistake of not waiting and getting what you want. You will regret it for as long as you own the vehicle. Really what’s another 4 to 6 weeks!I am frustrated not being able to find SX with Prestige package and Grey interior. ALso do not want to wait for 3 months.
Wondering if I am crazy to just skip the Prestige package (see below) and get SX without it?
What I would be missing:
Premium Nappa Leather Seat Trim
Premium Headliner
Head-Up Display (HUD)
Heated 2nd-Row Seats
Ventilated 2nd-Row Seats
Automatic Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers

Many KIA and Hyundai dealers I’ve frequented over the span of first my V8 Genesis and 3 subsequent US made Sorentos (‘11, ‘13 and ‘17) have been “spotty”.So your decision sounds like it was based, in large part, to your dealer experience. Out of curiousity, what did the ‘19 Lexus set you back?
Good value! And so you actually like the forward look/design of the Toyota. Hmmm. Good on you.$54,800 for 2019 RX350L AWD Luxury with every possible option.
I have never once regretted waiting to get the most elaborate option packages available on any car/rig. Never. And this includes our 2020 Telluride SXP.I am frustrated not being able to find SX with Prestige package and Grey interior. ALso do not want to wait for 3 months.

Use a seat cover or a towel underneathAnyone have experience with a car seat mounted to the nappa seats compared to the standard leather? I’ve heard differing opinions as to the durability of nappa leather. My captains chairs will have car seats mounted to them for a few years so ubviously the heating/cooling option doesn’t really matter, but if one type of leather is better than the other for durability, then I would be interested in that. Thanks

Definitely will use a cover, we have them on our grand Cherokee with leather seats and even with a good quality cover the car seats will leave a decent impressions.Use a seat cover or a towel underneath
Thanks for the reply. I’ve heard that nappa is softer too, which helps it recover from depressions. I guess my main concern here is the other posts saying that there doesn’t seem to be much a difference between the nappa and standard leather on the Telluride. Just wondering if the upgrade is worth it since we have one on order and that’s been our biggest decision for options. I would definitely spend the extra money to have the leather last longer if we went prestige since we plan on keeping this car for a long time and the first 5 years of its life will have car seats mounted to it.The Napa leather and underlying foam layers create a softer surface. In my experience, the softer leather surfaces usually resist wear and depression spots better than others.

Good point. We did go with the AWD, but the other options with the prestige package just don’t make the upgrade worthwhile. On a side note, our dealership doesn’t markup the price like many are doing right now, but they do have dealer “add-ons”, one being a leather sealer that adds an additional 7 year warranty to the seats, so I think we’re definitely good skipping the nappa upgrade. The standard leather is very high quality and it looks nice. That shouldn't be your main decision point - if the other features of the Prestige package (namely HUD, headliner, inverter, heated/ventilated second row) have value to you, then get the Prestige. In your case, with car seats, that ventilated second row may not be a big deal, so is the HUD and marginally nicer leather worth the price difference? If you ordered FWD, it's a $4000 difference (because P requires AWD) If you ordered an SX AWD, it's a $2000 difference. Also a longer wait for P, and you might be able to find a non P SX well before your order.
