• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Prestige Package - really need it?

Nothing in the prestige package impressed me enough imho.

Please share.

Is your lack of positive impression based on the actual experience of driving and using the features included in the Prestige Package?

While the package does provide some nice features, they probably could separate items a la carte like some other makes and get more money. Or make smaller packages, like a luxury, comfort, tech, weather, etc.

I always buy fully spec'd cars ................no way to feel you're missing anything , once you get used to all the nice features you cant go back . Fully loaded its still a bargain vs the Lux segment

My thoughts on not looking at the Prestige package.

Premium Nappa Leather Seat Trim - I felt no difference between the two leather packages
Premium Headliner - I am not looking at my headliner when I drive
Head-Up Display (HUD) - I have had it before and really have issues seeing it well, with sunglasses and contacts
Heated 2nd-Row Seats - Let the passengers warm it with their body heat
Ventilated 2nd-Row Seats - I never sit in the back
Automatic Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers - Nice, but I think I can turn my wipers on and off

Just my opinion

My thoughts exactly.

You also loose the following options:
- Reverse Tilting Mirrors
- Satin Chrome vs Chrome
- Dual Sunroof
- High Beam Assist
- 10 Speaker Sound System (other models have 6)
- Blind Spot View Monitor
- Park Distance Warning
- Surround View Monitor (360 Camera)
-7" Screen in instrument cluster
- No Home link
- 12 way power vs 10 way power seats ( I think this is the thigh extender)
- Driver seat memory
- Heated and Ventilated 2nd row seats
- Stainless Steel Pedals
I don't think this is entirely correct. We had hoped to get one with Prestige package and last night took delivery of an SX without Prestige. We have most of the items on this list...
We are very pleased to have gotten all the technology without paying the extra $4000.

@NixaStingerGT2 So when I posted this I was looking at this from an SX vs lower trim level as I was associating the Prestige Package with the SX Trim level. I forgot that you could purchase the SX model without the Prestige package. So to your point These are items you would loose if you purchased anything lower than the SX. Sorry for the confusion.

Heated Steering Wheel
To clarify on the heated steering wheel; when you select the AWD model in the EX and SX, it's automatically added. Good on ya, Kia, for realizing AWD = cold climate (mostly). The prestige package only adds it if you have the FWD SX.

Posted something that was already addressed in another post I missed. Anyone know how to delete a post?

I would like to get SX Prestige but also looking at X5. Like both a lot but trying to jstify waiting 3 mongs or if worth paying lot more for X5.
Recently sold a 2018 X3 M40i, and looked seriously at an X5 to have the additional interior room and more comfortable seats. The BMW is a fun car to drive, but after two years the value is plunging, and after four years (end of warranty period) they can cost serious $$$ for repairs and become hard to sell. If you go BMW, then lease, enjoy and give it back. We were going to buy a Tellluride SX Prestige, but ended up with a ‘19 Lexus RX350L AWD w/Luxury Pkg at 3,500 below invoice or 13% off MSRP. All of the Kia dealers that I contacted played games and would not commit to anything below msrp. We’re happy. Best to you.

So your decision sounds like it was based, in large part, to your dealer experience. Out of curiousity, what did the ‘19 Lexus set you back?

I am frustrated not being able to find SX with Prestige package and Grey interior. ALso do not want to wait for 3 months.

Wondering if I am crazy to just skip the Prestige package (see below) and get SX without it?

What I would be missing:

Premium Nappa Leather Seat Trim
Premium Headliner
Head-Up Display (HUD)
Heated 2nd-Row Seats
Ventilated 2nd-Row Seats
Automatic Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers

I have the owner of one of the first Prestige SX Tellies (Dark Moss and Grey int) in all of Seattle. It is worth every penny.

I concur. The price adder for the SX and Prestige features was very reasonable. I have owned multiple luxury vehicles and the Germans are the worst for nickel and diming (or is it Deutschemarking?) . For example, an MB GLS 450 which starts at over $70K, if you want the amazing features of Keyless Go, you must purchase the Premium package for $3830! Many basic features must be added pushing the price to nearly $100K. Don’t get me wrong, Mercedes Benz makes beautiful cars. But for the price of one Mercedes-Benz SUV, you could get his and hers or his and his or hers and hers Tellurides. I love MB’s description of the feature. It sounds completely futuristic!

KEYLESS-GO
A leap in ease and efficiency pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, KEYLESS-GO® lets you unlock, start and drive away without removing the SmartKey from your pocket or purse. You can lock and unlock the doors with a touch of the exterior handles, and start the engine by stepping on the brake pedal and pushing the Start/Stop button on the dashboard. You can also start the vehicle in the conventional way by removing the Start/Stop button and inserting the SmartKey into the ignitiion

I think the Telly appeals to 2 key segments , aspirational buyers moving up from Sorento or other "non Lux" vehicles and LUX buyers seeing the great value of the Telly and are not "consumed" with needing a badge ..............................I'm in the latter ..............BMW , Audi , and Merc are wonderful ..................BUT when you have to deal with reliability issues etc etc the bloom falls off the flower quickly , I've had 2 BMW lemons and have no desire to deal with all that BS again , the Telly SXL is as close to LUX as it gets ........and for the price , it's a bargain !! ...........and functionally its equal to most in the Lux segment ............yes there is room for more off road , and performance dynamics for for 90 % of normal driver this vehicle will meet and surpass real needs ................of course IMHO !

I think you may be showing your age 🙂, Germany's currency has been the Euro since 2002. I do know from personal experience what you mean about BMW and Mercedes charging for every little thing. I was thankful when we bought our SL550, there were very few options available.
