Is my wife just sent thisto me , I'm going to investigate it closer when she gets home but has anybody else the noticed rust on this as well?

Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Question on gas tank inlet .

It could be some staining or possibly some slight surface rust. I doubt it's made of stainless, probably some type of corrosion resistant metal since its not painted. Not sure of the concern even if it is rust. At this rate, it might rust through perhaps in another 50-75 years.
