• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So my wife put one of the rear seat Captain chair headrests in backwards and I’m unable to get it out to turn it around. I tried holding the button on the fitting with one hand and pulling up with the other, won’t move. I felt for holes that might allow a release pin to help but found nothing. Any suggestions on how I can get it out? Thanks for any ideas.

You will need to lift the cover on the side that does not have the button to depress the hidden release button.

Pro tip: used the forum search tool for “headrest stuck”.

It never occurred to me that anyone else could have had this issue. I’ll try the search function if anything else happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

The screwdriver tip worked great. I asked my wife if she wanted me to mark front on the headrest and got that look that every married man has seen before. we’ve been married 43 years so I’ve seen it many times
