• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Unfortunately, I just traded in my 2022 Kia Telluride and man do I have some regrets. I "upgraded" in most people's eyes paying 25k more than my SX Prestige, but in many ways I've downgraded. The features in the Telluride are uncomparable. Its has everything a SUV could have except for performance. Acceleration was terrible not to mention none existent on an incline. The brakes were overly touchy sometimes, while other times i was nervous they wouldn't stop the car in time. I had the car for almost 2 years and never got a feel for the gas and break pedal. I would love to go back to a Telluride, but please please put a new engine or something in it. It looks luxury, but sure doesn't drive like it. But maybe that's the trade off.

I'll the exact opposite. I have a 24 sx-p as well and I find the brakes soft. Soft to a point I am strongly considering a big brake kit for it. As for acceleration, this thing hauls! Most of the time I find myself speeding very easily. I drive in smart mode and it's quick. Faster than both v6 jeeps I've had which weight less. Wish there was a hybrid option.

Bigger question. What did you change to? I traded in a BMW 335 sedan with a sport package for the KIA so I gave up a ton of performance but I knew this was the cost. The only way your going to get much better performance in this big of an SUV is by paying much much more. I don't think the Telluride is terrible, its about normal for the class, maybe even a bit better. But its also not over $100k. Does the performance of the car you presently have make up the difference? Sounding like it's not.

The Telly has plenty of power for the average owner, not to mention tons of bells and whistles for the price point.

I drove mostly drive in comfort mode now around town, switch to sort when needed and put it in eco for long highway drives. I came from a 2013 Ford Explorer V6 6 speed and they have pretty much the same hp and torque. It was a one for one swap for performance and huge step up in tech since my Explorer had none.

Now I did spend $27K on the Explorer and about $50K on the Telly but that is due to inflation and my financial situation is better now than 10 yrs ago.

I feel that the Telly has ample acceleration for it's class and weight. The brakes are fine, actually quite precise. I'll grant you it doesn't handle or steer like a Bimmer/Audi/Benz or sportier car....but this I've known going into the purchase. Yes, it's noticeable, especially with the electric steering, but the technology, seat comfort, looks, and warranty can make up the difference. You can't get everything, but you can get closer if you reach deep into the pockets...It's a trade off.
