• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi,
I actually like the reverse alert warning function, so I don't want to fully disable it, however I'm wondering if there is a way to mute it after it signals? For example, if I'm pulling out in the grocery store lot, I sit there listening it it go on and on and onnnnnnn while the carts and cars go by. It seems like I should be able to touch the alert on the screen to mute it, no?

If any of you know I'd be most grateful to find out how to remedy this.

Thank you!

Nope, you can not mute it. The only way around the alarm is to back into the parking spot.
