• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Happy with your s or wish you had gone up a notch or 2?

I think it depends on what you are looking for. For us, having the captains chairs were most important with 3 kids - which the EX does not have. S also comes with 20's - if that's a positive to you.

With the S you still get a lot of the bells and whistles -- all the highway drive assist and lane keep assist are there standard, and you get 1 powered sunroof. You do miss out on some of other features.

We've had our S since early March, and are totally happy with it, and so is my wallet. The one thing I wish it did come with was black wheels, but that can obviously be addressed in a lot of other ways. Again the 4-5k extra for more for features but no captain chairs for the EX, or roughly 8-10K extra for captains chairs, all the bells and whistles and black wheels in the SX, wasn't justified in our opinion

But it's all about what is most important to you. I do not think you can go wrong with this car.

I feel the same. That’s why I went with S. Really wanted the black wheels though.

No regrets whatsoever. Needed the captains chairs and did not want to go up. And needed the roof rails so I couldn’t go down. When comparing the S to the competition available, nothing compares with a functional 3 person third row for the price.

Agreed. Sure, there are some features I wish it had, but I was fully knowledgeable of that fact when I purchased our Telluride S. As mentioned, I just could not justify the extra cost for the specific features I wish it had. In a way, I considered the S with a good deal of 'bang for the buck'. It also comes from a bit of perspective. For example, sure, I would love to have the 2nd sunroof. But, the vehicle we traded had no sunroof. So, we are tickled to have one at all.

We have had our S for a tad over a couple months and could not be more pleased with it. We live in a smaller community (approx. 20,000) with no Kia dealer, and I have not yet noticed another one in town. We do, however, notice the head turns as we drive around. We also just returned from our family vacation. Loaded it up with 6 people (youngest 15 years old) and drove over 8 hours to the beach for a week. Handled it like a champ. We obviously packed lighter than normal, but we also got 4 beach chairs in there along with all our luggage, food, and other stuff. Sure, it was more cramped than normal, but easily manageable. All in all, 2 months in we are 100% satisfied with our S purchase.

We LOVE our S. The only features I miss are the power liftgate, power passenger seat and rearview mirror cameras. But I knew that when I bought the S and I really wanted the 20's! I would also love to have black wheels, but the wife isn't too thrilled with that idea!

No regrets at all. We love our S and the price we paid for it at $33,289. No way we could justify another $12,000 minimum for the top end model. Especially since we do not tow anything and no need for AWD in Oklahoma.

We had our wheels powder coated black by a local shop so there’s no more hearts on the wheels either. IMHO the S is the best value for someone not needing all the bells and whistles.

No regrets! The captains chairs and 20" wheels were a must and I prefer the silver rims to the black. I agree with others that all the bells and whistles couldn't justify the extra cost. The only thing I miss are the fog lights. Not a big deal.

no regrets from our end. love the captain chairs and 20" wheels too. I think the retractable side mirrors might have been nice, but not worth it for us. just finished some long road trips and it cruises really well. lots of power and at high speeds you can hardly hear any wind outside. love it!

The one thing I wish is that the tail lights work like the higher end models. On the S only half the lens is a break light and the blinkers are in the bumper, on the SX the entire lens lights up on break lights and blinkers

small details only we as Telluride owners notice BTW yeah SX has all those small things we like to add

Power liftgate and a better sound system....other than that the S is an amazing vehicle. The more I drive it...the more I appreciate it!

The main issue we are dealing with now is the fact that UVO only uses Verizon. When you look at a Verizon coverage map, that white swatch through Texas that doesn’t have Verizon? Yeah, that’s where I live. Wasn’t told that when I bought the car. Makes UVO completely worthless to us. 😔

i wish the S came with LED headlights but i guess that's an easy upgrade i can do myself

Very happy with our S. Only thing missing for us is the power passenger seat. Very nice long road trip vehicle. Wanted the captain chairs and didn’t see spending the extra $$ for the SX plus we found our vehicle sitting on the lot so there was no waiting for weeks on a special order. AND there was zero ‘market adjustment’ tacked on. A very good value for the $$. Had the front windows tinted today and noticed a nice black set of 20” wheels at the dealership...maybe an early Christmas present???

SWEET. I like those a lot..👍 That has to be cheaper than aftermarket wheels. Did you put the OEM tires back on the rims? Thanks for posting the pic!! Trying to decide what to do with the wheels. Wifey likes the chrome look and I like the dark wheels....told her I’ll leave the OEM’s on the passenger side and put dark ones on driver side...LOL
