• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... SC 254 Drive belt recall?

I took my MY 2022 with 6,000 miles in for its first service under a Kia Maintenance Plan. In the inspection report, the Telly’s Drive Belt was listed as “good.” I did not notice that the service paperwork indicated the following:

“H SC254 Drive Belt Inspect/Replace” “Cause: SOP Special Order Part” “6340 Part on Order”


A week later, I received a call telling me the part was in for my “drive belt recall.”

I can find no information on this recall online. Anyone have information?

If you login to your Kia portal, you will see there is a campaign out for SC254, for that very thing above. I have made note for my service apt next Friday.

Oh I still don't trust them, they have all the service maint. stuff incorrect on my portal that I will address next Friday lol.

I dropped the Telly off for the day for an oil change and the drive belt and tow hitch harness recalls. Harness didn't apply but I did need a belt but I had to make another trip because they don't stock the belts. The second visit went smoothly but the 2nd trip seemed unnecessary.

How can they not have a few of these belts in stock......can't fix stupid
