If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My vehicle shows in the dealers inventory since last Tuesday. They told me it was on a truck being delivered and should arrive by Saturday at the latest. Now, it just told me maybe tomorrow. Does anyone know the time frame on something like this? I live in Iowa and its coming from Georgia. Dealers customer service has been less than stellar up to this point so i feel like they are just dragging me along because they do not actually know. Is it really impossible for them to check on the location of a delivery? Ive been driving a rental car this whole time, seriously about to cut my losses at this point and just go somewhere else for something on the lot.

I can help you on this one. What store are you working with and what trim level and color combo did you get? I can look at it in my system

I have the VIN if that helps! Kia of Des Moines, Everlasting Silver with Prestige and AWD.

If your vin number ends in 436 than it is showing to have just hit the lot..

They had told me it was showing in dealer stock for almost a week now but no idea where the delivery was. They said they have no way of knowing until it is actually delivered and shows up. I thought that was strange that they couldn't track an almost 50K package.

Honestly I would ask to speak to the GM.. I’m sure other dealers on here can chime in... that is really odd to go from In Transit status to Dealer Stock status and not be at dealership.. even more concerned if they said it’s been that way for a week.

Something isn’t right.

I wasn'[t going to say that, but was thinking it. Someone sold it without knowing it was a special order

I would just head down to the dealer myself. Oh and if they did sell out from under you, call KIA. I bet that would get them black balled.

It's now even showing on Kia's website as dealer inventory. His response?

"That usually is a good indication that it is really close"

I will be interested to see how this plays out. The wife and I are starting our search for who we will order a Telluride from, and the closest dealer's to us are Kia of Des Moines and Mcgrath Kia of Cedar Rapids. I of course will expand the search out further, but I would hate to have to write off the closest dealer to me already for being shady.

How much further is Finnin Kia (Dubuque) than those two for you? I worked with Alex there and he’s been great. Gave me a very fair deal (invoice before incentives) and was 100% transparent & straightforward with anything I wanted to know. I’m driving 3 hours from WI to work with him again, as we leased our current Sorento from him 3 years ago when we lived in Waterloo.

I too used Alex and Finnin Kia of Dubuque. Very easy to work with and great price.

Thanks for the Dubuque recommendation. It would be about 2 hours further then Des Moines and an hour further then Cedar Rapids, so not bad. Hopefully the OP gets it figured out, but I will definitely check with Dubuque.

This same type of CRAP happened when Dodge brought out the Viper... It was intended to be a 'Vette Killer for $35,000. A lot of people plunked down deposits and ordered one. Well...along came the "DOT COM Brats with more money than brains... and they OFFERED $50k for that same car..... Now a PO buyer lost his car that he ordered and that "$35K" 'Vette Killer now became a $50k+ car ( last run of the Viper now hits about $100k. So much for $35K.

I ordered my SX Black on Black in Black/ Prestige and Tow. I was given a projected date of about 3 months...not here yet... I smiled and looked the salesman in the eye.... and said I would HATE to find out this vehicle was sold of under me... I smiled a bit, explained I was 70 years old and not worried about going to jail. He kind of gave a nervous smile and "assured" me , that would not happen. So...we shall see. My son was with me and seemed more worried than the Salesman... Paperwork in hand, I left and will come back when I get the final notification. ;)
