  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I am sure the Sorento is getting cannibalized by its own sibling, and I am sure its price will drop and will drop fast. If the price drops 20%-30%, or more, would you consider getting that instead?

That's one reason I wish they would get some SX's out here. I want to trade in our Sorento before the value plummets.

The March Sales results didnt look like there was any impact to the Sorento , it was well ahead of last year . April will tell a more realistic tale ..................

If you want something a bit smaller then the telluride the Sorento remains a great choice

Yeah, Sorento sales have been up every month this year thus far.

Considering only 1 real month of Telluride sales, April sales figure will be telling.

Yep - not everyone wants something as large as the Telluride, but still want to a 3rd row for that once in a blue moon time when they need it.

Which is why think the current Sorento's age will have more to do w/ declining sales/increased incentives than the addition of the Telly.

The next Sorento should be a marked improvement all-around (getting a more boxy-shape like its big brother/sister), esp. if it is underpinned by the new N3 platform (would be interesting to see if the Sorento gets the N3 before the Santa Fe).

I drove the Sorento and liked it but couldn’t get over the 4 cylinder noise and lack of towing capabilities.
Try the 3.3V6, lots of good grunt

The Sorento controls are just like any other Kia out there. The 2016's and up ride very nice and are a great highway car. They have the same AWD system. The only reason we will be upgrading is looks and room.

I have a 2019 sorento loaner the dealer offered while I wait for my SX. I will say it is definitely a nice car to drive. Just not my style. I know the telluride isn't a true 'suv', but the styling blows the sorento away. I am sure they will drive really similar overall. Nice getting used to driving this before my car comes.

The next gen Sorento will be getting a boxier shape a la the Telluride and should also be getting a more elegant/horizontal dash design that's found in newer Kia models like the K900 and Telluride.

The big question is whether the next Sorento will be underpinned by the new N3 platform which is lighter and stiffer and 1st used for the new Sonata (w/ the next model to use it being the next Optima).

Would improve both handling and fuel economy.

Where is your location? I'd love to propose a loaner request while I wait for an order but this seems likely to happen only through an established dealer relationship or other unique circumstance. Are you willing to share any details on how you were offered the loaner? Thanks!

In north CA I see a lot of new Sorentos and no tellurides.. I guess they’re on sale now!
