• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi, my Kia Telluride 2020 SX has 4 Pirelli Scorpion Zero Tires + 1 Scorpion STR (Spare Tire).
I thought the spare tire was the same tire, but it wasn't. Yesterday I went to the auto repair shop, checked it, and found out.
How about your Telluride spare tires? Are all the same tires or are they different like me?
Thanks.

Mine was a Kumho donut. You have a full sized spare?

The spares are not full-sized. If they were the same width as the regular tires, they’d hang down way too far. Someone posted their adventures in mounting a regular-sized tire here sometime before.

These are the tire specs from the manual:

FWD=Pirelli, AWD=Michelin, spare=Kumho

Here it is.

This is what it looks like if you mount a regular-sized tire underneath.

But @paulb is saying he has a Scorpion STR which is a full size as his Pirelli spare.

I think we’re going to need some pictures to gauge what’s going on. It’s also confusing what he means by “different” – different tire size or model?

He seems to imply that STR stands for spare tire (I don’t think it does, at least not according to Pirelli). Doing a quick search on Tire Rack, there are no Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires that would fit the factory size; there are some Pirelli Scorpion STR tires sized appropriately, however.
