• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Took the Telly in for the 30K service which included taking a look at the "cabin air filter".....look what they found!! I have taken the vehicle frequently to our cabin in Vermont over the two years I have had the car......never thought to look at the cabin filter! Guess I will now AND reload my 22 rifle and get back to fighting the squirrels!!

Still cannot figure out how they were put in there.....know for sure there is no nooks or crannies with enough space for either a squirrel or chipmunk to physically get into the intake space. So....whatever did it must have "dropped" them in there somehow🤬

So another question, no smell? Vermin sh*t where they eat so I would be surprised is not. I have a barn on my property and all my small engine items being infested is always a concern.. That intake has a vent to the outside also to draw the air in and pass over the filter.

No smell at all .....no evidence of any poop.....so again, I don't think the critter could get IN there, but was somehow shoving the acorns in. Part of the difficulty for me is this is the first look at this filter in 33k miles....so the acorns could have been dropped in one of our stays at our place in the woods or perhaps over a period of several stays during the past 2 years......I'm going to be using a very bright flashlight to try and find the "access point!" Another interesting point is that there was no "rattling sound" from the acorns!

Let me know what you find. What part of Central PA are you at?

Cool. Wife is from Bradford but was forced to stay at Pitt.
