• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good Afternoon, all. First-time poster here!

I heavily use the front Surround View Monitor (SVM) when pulling into my garage, so I know that when the front-center sensor turns red, I am far enough into the garage to successfully close the garage door behind me.

For a couple of days, I have noticed that when I pull into the garage, the SVM visibility sensors no longer turn yellow or red in the top view (and I get no audible beep), even when I am almost touching the garage wall with my front bumper. However, if I reverse a few feet and pull back into the garage, I get the yellow/red indicators again on the top view, and I get the audible beep.

If my Telluride was a computer or a phone, I would probably try rebooting it. Is there an equivalent function on my Telluride? Or have others experienced this problem and found a solution?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes there is a small pin reset button next to the left volume knob

You maybe referring to the Parking Distance Warning Forward (PDW-F) sensors. When you pull up to objects (ie. wall) or press the SVM button, the PDW sensors do not always automatically activate. Only when you shift to reverse gear will the PDW turn on automatically. If you want to manually turn it on, you can press the little P button next to the SVM button.

Yeah, you definitely just turned off your parking sensors at some point. Turn them back on… problem solved.

Next time you turn on the car, before you do anything, check and make sure that parking sensors button (shown in the previous post) is lit. If it isn’t, push it to turn them on.
