We’ve had our SX AWD in Canada for two weeks now. Love it!
As far as HDA, I’m still confused as functions are very similar to a combination of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist which can be used in town and not just on highways. I set my own speed limit on highway and in town and it slows down and speeds up and keeps me inside the lane. I tried the same on highway and HDA logo showed up but I didn’t ow notice anything different. The only thing that happened was a warning that my speed set for cruise control is higher than posted speed limit (in Alberta we drive 125-130 in 110 zone).
A few sharper corners on highway Kia could not handle with lane keep assist and I had to intervene manually since it started to beep as it got too close to the yellow lane.
Every 60 seconds it will remind you to place your hands on steering wheel.
All in all I’m happy with it and it made our drives to the mountains much easier especially getting around Calgary traffic on 201.
My settings are, comfort drive mode, one car ahead for the adaptive cruise control and speed set at a bit higher than posted limit to match the traffic around me so it speeds up quicker after a slower car gets out of my way.
Let me know if any questions you have about HDA for a Canadian SX model.
