It might also be worth noting... that prior to the Telluride purchase, I had bought a used 2019
Kia Sorento AWD vehicle, a couple years ago, it had around 30,000 miles on it when I bought it used. I drove this vehicle for about a year, before it got totaled in an accident. I really liked that vehicle, it had AWD, V6, etc... I went to try and replace it , and realized they no longer put the V6 in the
Sorento, and also discovered the Telluride.
The V6 , AWD, and up to 5000 pound towing is what I really wanted... when I found out the 3rd row seat in the Telluride was actually usable , I started researching the Telluride, rather than another
Sorento. I don't tow very often, and probably would never tow more than about 3000 pounds and mostly never tow more than 2000 for any distance.
So, anyway, I wasn't too thrilled about paying $40,000+ on a vehicle, but after some further thought, I decided I'd do it. I more or less expect , or hope to drive the Telluride for many, many years... if it doesn't work out that way, I either misjudged my needs or the Telluride's abilities, or something unexpected occurs in my future needs.
Bottom line is I'm very optimistic I made a good choice.
