• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Beast, any rub? May run this size
I wouldn’t call it a rub it’s more of a graze with the Ridge Grappler that is generally a bigger tire. If I went Terra Grappler I might not be “grazing” as much.

We took a heat gun and warmed up the fender plastic in the fronts toward the rear where it rubs and pushed it in so it’s out of the way more. There is very minimal “graze” but the tire will wear it out. I don’t hear it at all while I drive.

I have the Toyo AT 3 265/65/17 XD monster rims and I’m getting just a slight rub or graze like Alonzo mentioned. When I’m full turn it’s very mineable but I think I might try the heat gun on the fender. Good idea Alonzo 👍🏻

Yellow fogs look nice. What model are those?
The fogs? I just had yellow vinyl wrap put on them. I don’t think there are any aftermarket ones out there.

That’s awesome, but I’m squeamish modding factory vehicles.....

Will the SEMA Telluride ever happen?

The Telluride has awesome looks....but for mpg and ground clearance I may have to go with the Ascent.

The Bronco is appealing, but I will never take the roof and doors off....lol.

Below would be my ideal vehicle....Subaru has a “wilderness” package coming to the Forester and smaller....come on KIA you can do it!

What mounting brackets did you use to attach your platform? I was going to use the cross bars I have but I think it will make the platform appear weird with their height.
They are the ones for the Kia Sedona and then slightly modified. However FrontRunner is working on something more official for the Telluride right now. I’d wait for that.

I'm considering Nitto Ridge Grapplers 265/50/r20 with Truxxx Lift Kit on my SXP AWD, but am concerned about the road noise. Is there any information about the road noise difference on the OEM Michelin Primacy Tour vs the Nitto?

I'd keep an eye on CV joint boots.

Years ago I had a 4wd Chevy S10 that set up a bit too high in front from the factory. It would eat CV joint boots up, about every 12,000 mile. I had to point out that the front set higher than the rear and excessive angles on the cv joints was the likely cause. They eventually lowered the front with torsion bar adjustments and amazingly never had another boot failure.

Yea I noticed the same. Most people with the Tow package seem to sit lower in the rear when parked. Supposedly driving the car would automatically level it out, but I don't know if that actually happens.
Ordered my lift kit. The Truxxx instructions that was posted here mentioned something about the rear install with the self-leveling suspension. Probably something to bring up with your mechanic.

"****Step 9 – if truck has self leveling, make a note of the angle change – test drive before adjustment, when you reconnect battery it should self adjust, if not, simply adjust actuating signal arm to the same angle as before install of rear kit, a minor adjustment may be needed."

DO NOT USE THE TRUXX SWAY BAR EXTENSIONS! Both bent on me and passenger side sway bar bent. Caused the axle to be damaged and pop out. Kia service told me the extensions are not needed. If you have more questions, I'm happy to answer.

were you off road when it broke? Do you know what the cause was?

We did a little off roading the weekend before, but at the time I was towing a 4000 lbs trailer. We had already been towing about 6 hours before I started to feel the Telly shake when I applied gas. So not sure what caused the bend in the Sway or bends in both extensions.

I installed this kit with the links, those links make it for the new distance the lift kit (front spacer) just added to the whole suspension; You can certainly avoid using those provided link plates as long as you readjust the sway bar brackets, by the way, What was the orientation you used when installing the links in the first place?, I mean protruding above the shock hole or underneath it?, in my case I oriented them above since that was where the sway bar end link bolt and the provided link hole aligned together, I saw a post in internet where those links where installed facing down which for sure will cause excessive stress to the sway bar which can cause it to break but should not make the hub to pop out, anyways, I hope that repair was not too expensive and thanks for sharing your experience.

My installer had to come to my home after he got off work to fix an issue. It started making a tug tug noise from the front of the car while driving.
Apparently he missed critical step #9.
To readjust the front sway bars.
Here with Toyo AT 265/50/20.

That's exactly how I installed those link plates, Thanks for the pic!, I can tell that accessing the front sway bar brackets is not as easy as the rear ones but TRUXXX recommends to get them loose, drive the vehicle around and tight them back in their new position, I also added the factory skid plate, this is mine with 245/70/17 wheels/tires.
