If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride VIN Lookup Website

Just joined. Ordered a Telluride back in August; still waiting. Is there a website one can go to that allows you to track ETA and delivery info once a VIN has been assigned? You all keep refercning this "great website"...are you referring to this Forum or a website in which you can look up delivery info, etc.?

The website many are referring to is here:

You can search for your VIN once you have it. As others have said - your dealer should be able to give you an update as to when it is being produced. They have an estimated build schedule. Looks like this:

Ask your dealer for a screenshot from their system. Will help follow the build process. And yeah...the car is worth the wait.

Failcat last update on 12/24 ?
I noticed that too...wonder if the factory is closed for the holidays? 🤔

Yep, I waited almost 11 months. But it is SOOO worth the wait. If you have the VIN creation date, it seems they are (or were) leaving Westpoint, GA manufacturing plant about a week later. Transport could take between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on transport carrier sand where is going (West coast vs. East coast). That's where your dealer won't have control over the situation. If it's a big car carrier with several vehicles, they may make several stops along the way. Mine arrived 8 or 9 hours after it left the plant because it was only vehicle being transported that day with the carrier going to my dealership. I guess the hauler wanted to be done with his deliveries that week, because I was told it would arrive between 2-4 days later. It arrived that same night I got the expected delivery update! Stephen Cantrell (dealer in TX) on this forum seems to be able to help some with this info. Reach out to him. You'll find him if you search the forum.
Eleven months? Why so long? I assume you ordered one year’s model (e.g., 2020) and got the next year’s model (e.g., 2021)?

Yes I ordered 2020 in Dec 2019. Was told I would probably get it in April or May. Then Covid hit. A couple of plant shutdowns later, and my 2021 car got built and delivered in October. The delay was related to how many orders my dealer had ahead of mine. But they were offering below MSRP, which was significant amount to me. So I waited, and it was well worth it. Allowed me to save more cash to pay for it!

Wow below msrp?

Muncie, IN is honoring Costco pricing. Something like 1,200 off on a SX. It does depend on the model.

Can someone tell me what a VIN showing up on the failcat site means? Does that mean it has been built and is on its way to the dealership or is just the VIN number that has been generated?

VIN was generated on that day... Car is being built. Will take about a week to complete before leaving plant for. dealership.

It means the car has been built and can be expected within a couple of weeks after.
