Text reading telephone numbers

Not sure exactly when it started but when we get text messages while driving and I hit listen, it starts with saying the number with area code then the message. Even stored contacts on my phone state area code then number. If it is a group chat, bonkers bc it list every number. I no longer listen to text messages. Android and apple phones. Deleted Bluetooth, redid and no changes. My Google pixel 7 phone doesn't do it when not connected like normal. Anybody got a guess?

OK, this is admittedly a TINY thing, but here goes. I like having getting the pop-up notification of an incoming text message on the screen, and I often use the option to have the message read aloud by simply touching the button. Works great, except for one nit. If I happen to get a message...

Any fix for this? Annoying as all heck getting ready to just turn off the connection

None that I know of.

I've mostly switched to Android Auto, in part just to avoid this issue.

I have the same issue. At first it was only contacts that were Android users. Now just this week it's all contacts. It is very annoying!! Maybe the next update will fix!

I have the same issue, it's annoying, especially on group texts . . . I don't care that their number is... "less than plus nineteen billion, four hundred twenty three million, seven hundred sixty four thousand. . . . . " FOR EVERY PHONE NUMBER!!!
