All I need is to attach a Thule swing out Bike rack. Can anyone confirm they have used a Curtis hitch with the Thule with zero issues? Thanks much.

The hitch itself on any trailer hitch is standard fare the world around (at least the country around ).

" 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers are the most common type. Most 2" hitches are either Class III or Class IV. These hitches are typically found on pickup trucks, SUVs, and some full-size sedans. Most trucks and SUVs that come factory-equipped with a trailer hitch have a 2" receiver."

Your Thule bike rack will fit perfectly.

Do you know if this is only for units with tow pkg.from the factory???I have a S with no tow pkg.wondering if it would work on my S??? Thanks for all this info very very helpful!!! I have installed etrailer hitch....

I have an S trim too and the white harness plug-in connection is there right where tyger23 described its location. Under the jack Styrofoam holder. I installed mine from Hyundai Parts Pro yesterday and it works perfectly.

Follow up to my postings from February. Dealership installed a hitch at that time, but unable to do 7 pin tow harness. They followed up in late April by referring me to Torklift Central in Kent, WA to have a 7 pin harness installed AND they fully reimbursed me for the $625 cost of the tow harness install. It works fine. I used a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller I already had. I was not happy with KIA customer service or KIA Corporate that continues to advertise the Telluride for it's "great towing abilities" when it's apparent hey are simply not resolving non-availability of OE tow hitch and harness. But kudos to KIA of Everett, WA for helping me resolve issue. I really like my 2023 EX X-line Telluride, but given KIA corporate poor response to this tow issue - AND that I've now gotten THREE recall notices already ( rear air bags, instrument cluster issues, drive belt inspection ) on a new car - I could not advise my friends and neighbors to get a KIA. Sad.

I installed the Canadian harness on my S last weekend. Just towed my camping trailer with a brake controller. All plug and play, no issues. Identical install process to what tyger23 described.

Aftermarket isn't the end of the world, especially when you have no other option. I would be surprised they changed the oe hitch but left that the same and came out with new facia. As far as the harness, etrailer has been good updating when they are available.

I am worried about voiding the warrantees.

Just order the one mentioned from hyundia parts pro. They are spendy but they are a plug and play option so its nit a warranty issue

I called forklift in Kent about my 2023 and they said they’ve done one before and would call me back. Maybe it was yours? Haven’t heard anything back from them in over a week. I bought from puyallup Kia who was baffled by the non-existence of the hitch and wiring (I think I was their first 2023 delivery). When I asked about the absence of the hitch and wiring they said I wasn’t charged for it. I’m not so sure as the wording is unclear. Says towing capable and may need additional parts or something similar but when I was purchasing it seemed really clear to me that it was tow ready. Puyallup kia said they did one install with aftermarket parts and will not be doing it again.

I just got a call from Kia Customer Care asking if I had urgent need of towing parts. Apparently parts will be available for order from your local dealer in a very limited supply starting Aug 1st but they were calling customers who had registered interest. They used an example of customers who tow wheelchair trailers and things as urgent needs.

I didn't think to ask if it was harness or hitch but I'm assuming both?

The stock '22 hitch fits and I had no trouble sourcing that from my local dealership. My guess is it's the harness that will be offered to priority owners. My harness is in and working well. Knowing it works, if I had it to do again I would just order from Canada now, it's likely to be cheaper than buying local anyway. Would be interesting to get the harness part number from your local dealer (if you are the priority list) and compare that number against the Palisade harness many in this group acquired from Canada.
