Well August 1st is only 6 days away. Problem, the way I read Jimbo's post is that the general owner isn't going to get the parts right away - they are eeking it out to special needs. This could be just a couple of weeks, or months, or crap - even beyond that. Who knows?

The clarified their part release to say late August but some folks are getting calls already at least notifying them

2023 Kia Telluride SX X-Line Hitch Installed!!!

I got a call from Kia America at the end of July and we had quite a bit of back and forth on when they thought a hitch would be available. They said Aug 1, 2023 and then on Aug 10,2023 they said that they weren't sure. A few days later, my wife gets a call from our local dealership saying they got a couple hitches and we were one of the first on the list. I was confused but didn't question it. We went in and the parts department knew it was available but service had no idea because parts didn't input the inventory in their system because they were reserved for people. Luckily one was reserved for me. So I'm happy it is installed. I have posted a pic below for everyone to see what the 7 pin harness and hitch look like.

Looks real clean! I just picked up the 22 hitch for my 23, and I believe I’m top of the order at my dealer for the 23 hitch…maybe I should hold off a month or so to install.

Might be a good idea to wait. I know it sucks waiting longer but the service manager at my local dealership said he installed the 22' hitch on his 23' and he regrets it because it sits so low and isn't snug like the 23' hitch.

I think the 22 is the same as the 23. I put one on my 23 and it looks the same.

The only part number I have on my invoice is S9TOWPOWER.

I see that too. I'll have to check with my dealer to see if it was needed or installed. But I'm not sure if it can be installed without it. Not sure.

Thousands of people have installed hitches on their Tellurides w/o issue. So everyone is wondering what it is and if its something you even need.

yup, and im one of them, thats why i asked. everything seems to be working as intended, but i think it mentioned in the email released from Kia that its a safety issue... we shall see eventually... i just towed my boat over a couple of thousand miles with no issues...

Just got my tow hitch installed. All OEM done at a a kia dealership in Utah. Just over $1k. Expensive but looks great.
