Whether you opt for OEM windshield or aftermarket, calibration still needs to be done...and that has nothing to do with the Prestige package.Correct, no HUD.

Hi did you have HUD on your windshield? If so, after Safelite replaced the windshield. Did you notice any difference in your HUD?I had my 2023 SX P get a chip and then a long crack in the windshield. Just over 1000 miles so I was so upset but better than a door ding. Safelite did try to repair but the crack just got bigger. So next week I am scheduled for new windshield install by Safelite they have a life time warranty hopefully this will all work out.
I’ve been really lucky since I bought my ‘22 SXP last August.Hi did you have HUD on your windshield? If so, after Safelite replaced the windshield. Did you notice any difference in your HUD?

I would. It use to be you went with oe because 3rd party was poorer quality. Can't see how anything could be poorer than Kia glass. This was my first replacement oem installed by Safelite. Just had this happen yesterday. I was about a year with the replacement windshield. Wondering if I should just do aftermarket instead
this time?

Awesome! Safelite replaces mine a couple weeks ago. HUD was distorted, just replaced again today with OEM glass. Now the HUD is barely there......I’ve been really lucky since I bought my ‘22 SXP last August.I’ve had the windshield replaced twice by Safelite with an OEM windshield. I haven’t noticed any difference in the HUD.
HUD is purely a reflection on the inside of your windshield. It is going to reflect off of any piece of glass or any windshield for that matter. If you can barely see it, maybe something got changed in your settings? Or maybe you had on your polarized sunglasses?Awesome! Safelite replaces mine a couple weeks ago. Several people have reported blurred HUD after installing a non-KIA windshield. They had to do it over with OEM to get their HUD looking proper.is non-OEM going to be ok or shall I go for the one with Kia logo
You'll have to ask the people that have had the issue. How bad could it be, really? It a reflection generally of 2 numbers most of the time reflecting the speed limit. It's not the sharp to begin with.
I just didYou'll have to ask the people that have had the issue.
It was like looking at something double vision wise and it was giving me a bad headache, it sucked. Hence having to go back and get OEM glass.I just did
Sa.e issue, dash of my 23 telluride is lit up like a Christmas tree, come to find out no sensors in aftermarket windshield for the newer models. But the don't tell you that so now I have to wait 2 weeks to get OEM Parr and I hope that fixes the problem,Safelite replaced my windshield with 3rd party a month ago. They couldn't get it to calibrate and had to get insurance approval for OEM windshield. I have an EX (so no HUD) but my lane keeping assist was not working properly/much at all with the after market glass. Had OEM for about a week and car works like it should again.
