TPMS need to be recalibrated when switching back to factory wheels/tires after winter?

I'm sure this is a pretty dumb question, and I couldn't find a definitive answer on the forum, so here it is anyway:

At the beginning of winter I bought new rims/tires/tpms for my winter set up (and stepped down to 18" wheels for a beefier tire sidewall) and everything has been working great.

I'm just curious as to whether the TPMS will need to be recalibrated when I switch back to my factory 20" wheels or will the vehicle re-learn on its own? I was planning to swap the wheels over myself, but I'm not going to bother if I need to bring it in to get the sensors re-programmed.

As long as you are using kia TPMS, which your factory does have, you will be 100% ok. Both times I changed my tires the car found the TPMS within 5 minutes of driving. But, according to the tire place, it can take up to 30 miles before the car finds them.

They said 30 miles, but mine worked before I got through the first street light.

I have factory Kia TPMS on my winter rims as well, so it looks like I’m good to go. Thanks!
