Stay patient! It'll be worth it in the long haul. Cliff Notes of our story...
10/15/22 - Custom Ordered
2/1/23 -
VIN assigned (per Failcat)
2/6/23 - Vehicle Ported
2/10/23 - Vehicle arrived to dealership...
Received call at 1pm on 2/10 that Bluetooth connectivity was not functioning and that OBD2 port would not work to help pull error codes.
KIA America requested that vehicle be returned.
Was told by dealership we would have a vehicle by end of February.
2/25/23 -
VIN assigned (per Failcat)
Dealership told us delivery on 3/10/23
Arrive to dealership on 3/10/23 to find out there is no vehicle and after much pressuring turns out the vehicle actually arrived 2/20 but was accidently sold to someone else because the vehicle was not assigned to us by the salesman.
*Tense negotiating occurs*
4/12/23 - New date without a
VIN
5/22/23 - Updated date without a
VIN
5/10/23 - Expected delivery with
VIN number
Caveat however is that this vehicle is an X-Pro and not an X-Line like we ordered (negotiating to pay the price of X-Line..)
We've had three "once in a blue moon" situations occur. I'm really to play the anti-lottery!
When issues occur, remember that price is always negotiable. They would rather refund you the deposit (car will still come for them to sell above MSRP); but it resets your clock and negotiating power.
