• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Brand new 2023 Telluride has transmission issues the day we brought it home from the dealer. Went into KIA after 2 weeks and tech was able to duplicate the issue. KIA has agreed to replace the transmission. However we could be waiting a long time as others report its backordered with no ETA. Its the same issues as others have had with the Sorentos and other models. Banging into Drive, Can't find Drive or Reverse.
Super disappointed that it came out of the factory with a defect this bad. Paying my first car payment and I have no car. You would have thought with all of the Sorento tranny issues KIA would have fixed them by the time the 2023's had come out But they didn't.

I'm just curious as to what has led up to this.

Was there a lot of uphill parking where the transmission is in Park without the e-brake engaged? Then moving the transmission shifter to Drive?
Either way, that sucks man. Sucks to have a brand new car, a '23, and have issues with it from day one.

Good luck to you.

1) Your luck or lack of, got you a lemon, sorry to hear.
2) Wait what? They didn't give you a loaner of the same caliber or higher in the meantime? I would not pay anyone a dime.

OMG! Sorry to hear. That sucks. Yeah....I wouldn't pay a dime after I dished out all that money. No rental car or nothing? SMH!

This sucks! In your case, Lemon Law applies. You may get a full refund after certain attempts of repairs or a timeframe of repairs.

Every buyers nightmare. Sorry Brother.

Hi.
That sucks I think I may be in the same situation and I haven’t even got the inspection sticker on it yet. The third day I have had it. I started it up put it into drive, started to go forward the revs went up more then they should have and the car kind of jerked into gear. Happened again this morning. Bringing it on Wednesday

Likely something more (as opposed to less) complicated, as they have production line procedures sorted out well in advance. Any automatic transmission that was very low on fluid, would exhibit the very same behavior.
Although I'd rather doubt that's your issue.

Please keep us informed!
