• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I inadvertently tried to close the door over the USB ports in the center console while I was updating the system on my 2021 SX. The memory stick caught on the door and evidently broke the USB port in the console. Now the car just keeps telling me to "Insert memory card" over and over. It's a 2 hour drive to my nearest Kia dealer. And if listening to that that is bad enough, Kia keeps texting me that a door on my car in unlocked. I live at the end of a long dirt road and never lock my doors and have never before had this problem with unwanted texts from Kia.

Update. The USB port appears to be working. I put in a memory stick with a bunch of MP3 music files and they played just fine.

Update #2. I contacted Mapnsoft, the folks that write the updates. After a bunch of back and forths and lots of screen pics, they realized that "insert Memory card" was "It should not be asking for a memory card on this generation of unit, as it does not use a memory card." I tried doing a system reset, but the "bitch in the box" keeps telling me to "Insert memory card" every 8 seconds or so. I am so not looking forward to listening to that for the two hour drive to my local Kia dealer.
