In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey all, looking at a possible used ‘20 SXP with 4K miles. How much would you pay? Looks to be in great condition obviously. Looked up the vin in our handy dandy tool and original msrp was 49,590. They are listed around 44 currently
Thanks!

4K miles after a year of ownership doesn’t sound bad. Typical residual after a 3 year lease is about 60% to give you a point of reference. By that notion, the asking price is probably higher than what it should be with normal depreciation. But due to limited availability (especially SXP) I could see somebody willing to pay that price.

If you want the best value, I’d rather pay another $4-6k to get a new one at MSRP. Will take more effort and time most likely, but at least you will get your moneys worth.

Why did you pass on the white SX AWD? You really wanted Prestige? $44k is a good deal.

@StephenCantrelle ever had anyone had a dealer do the sale same day just to get it certified so the 10year transfers? I’d like to have it but don’t want to pay out the nose right now

Oh are you talking about the one in Arkansas?Basically my wife didn’t want to pay 2k extra for a vanilla AWD if it didn’t come with prestige or nightfall. If not nightfall, it would have to be a FWD white and butterscotch unicorn🤷‍♂️

What’s the history of the vehicle. If a demo or loaner, I would pass.

Offer him $43k and buy it. Seems like a good deal for today's market. If it was at a dealer it'd be over $50k

He came down 600 so we ended up at 44 even. Carfax is clean, he is going to our mechanic today for a look over. If all is well, we should have it tomorrow!

Congrats. I think the price is reasonable considering the current market.

Thanks! I thought for sure it was being sold higher than the payoff amount but it is actually only $150 higher than payoff. Good win for everyone I think. My wife is stoked and I can finally stop digging through failcat and calling around!

That is a great deal especially in the current market. It is essentially new. And, with only 4k miles, you could still potentially buy an extended warranty from Jason Fox at Muncie if you wanted. Good find.

@Jason Fox is this true??

Here is his April post with info - purchase with up to 5k miles. Only question is whether a second owner can still purchase... but they might have an option.

That's my question. If second owner is allowed, I'm all for it

EDIT: If the original owner only can purchase but is transferable, would we be able to get the seller to contact you today to purchase and transfer to us tomorrow??

We might be able to do something for you even though your the 2nd owner. Email me with the VIN number and I can see what we can do.
