  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Went to order mine today.
My local dealer told me that they stopped taking orders for at least next week or so.
reason given: Switch to 2022 model + they are backed up on orders (or something to that extent)

Telluride is definitely a hot item :)

Funny observation, their parking lot looked awfully empty. (This is the largest dealer in state of Utah)
Usually they have anywhere from 200-350 cars on the lot. Less than 50 now, mostly trade ins.

Which dealership? Did they say if they’re at MSRP and how long you could expect to wait (after your order is entered)?

i tried to post reply but it wouldn't post for some reason

Mine is on order with them too. I went with them because another member on this forum used them in the past and had a good experience. They get about 25 Tellurides a month, so decent volume.
Are they still saying MSRP on ordered units?

so Just an FYI, i just got a note from Doug Smith Kia in American Fork -- and wow - am i shocked:

"If you order now your order will be a 2022 and it would be about 12-18 months to get in. I know that is a rough time line but unfortunately with the chip shortage that is where we are. I cant give you an exact price due to not knowing exactly what the 2022 model will be but I can give you the price of a 2021 with your specs, just know the 2022 will go up in price, we are thinking its going to be about $1500.00."

Glad I didn’t order from them. Geez.
Although honestly I’m not surprised. They had well over 100 in line, and we’re telling me 9 to 12 months. This was in the spring.
Their allocations seem to be very similar to Jerry Seiner, just a couple less units per month.
I guess more folks in Utah County want the Telluride. Utah county is known for keeping up with the Joneses.

Yes, it is crazy. I ordered an EX from Doug Smith back in November and was told 3 to 4 months. It has now been almost 7 months and I finally have an ETA of 6/23. I would probably wait for the 22 if it hadn't taken so long already. Maybe I'll trade it in when the 23's come out.
