Wait 5 months for SXP or take the EX for same price up in 2 weeks?

In December, I had pre-ordered EX premium in Nightfall from a local dealer for $51.5K with $1000 non-refundable deposit. A few weeks later I realized that I can order an SXP for the same price from an out of state high volume dealer with approx 5 month wait time, so I paid $500 refundable deposit. Now my local dealer updated me today that EX will be delivered by Feb 9th. I am confused, should I pick up EX now, even with a mark up and trade in later, when SXP is available for a pick up? Is paying for sales tax (9%) and running credit twice justifiable?

p.s. I really like the SXP features.

Why do you think the EX is available immediately and the wait for the SX??? Hopefully the market will still be strong for used cars for your sake if you are planning on trading it in. You might be better selling it privately on your own and then do the paperwork at the dealership when you pick up your car. A nice dealership will handle this for a small fee. Unfortunately, I think those days are over.

if it's not a financial issue to get the SXP, and you can make do for 5 months....wait.
The features on the SXP are more than worth it IMO

EX is available after someone backed out after pre-ordering. I am worried about gambling on resale market over the summer. I am already overpaying for the EX and what if I don't make up cost + tax and other fees from the sale.

There’s a markup on the EX so making money on it may be difficult
